Windows 10 Pro - now asking for password from Sleep mode...?

I am using Windows 10 Pro on a laptop.

In the last week, it has been asking for a password when waking from Sleep mode.

I have *never* used a password on this machine.

If I right-click on the Windows logo and choose Run, and then type netplwiz > Return, the window that opens has the box "Users must enter a username or password to use this computer" unchecked, as it should be.

So, why am I being asked for a password?

    Thanks, as always.

    D.

Control Panel > Power Options > Change Plan Settings > Advanced

In there is likely a setting for "Require Password on Wakeup"

Found it under> Control Panel>All Control Panel Items>User Accounts>Make Changes to My Account in PC Settings>Sign in Options>Require Sign In...

This was set to "When PC wakes up from sleep".

I have no idea how that happened.

Anyway, changed it to "Never". (Curiously, there is no Save Settings/Changes option.)

    Let's see what happens.

    Thanks.

    D.
