Well Lukaku did the job for the first time since... feels like ever for me :pac:. Weird feeling now to hope for a 'Pool semi-blanl tomorrow :pac:. Mané & Coutinho assists for Heaton double own goal :p....

Busts sermon about Liverpools home form convinced me to switch from Lukaku to Kane at 1.30.

Here's hoping we're both smiling tomorrow.

Yeah I'm wary of the Liverpool mid as captaincy options. I know explosiveness is important but they are very inconsistent. I see Lukaku as the safer option. Owning 2 Liverpool guys as I most likely will is probably enough eggs in that basket too.

I'll just leave this here as a deserved slap about the head for myself.

Changing that C goes down as one of my worst calls of the season.

Lukaku (c) was always the plan this week but my gut is telling me not to. Think I'll go with Mané.

Well aren't you the clever one

I did say Liverpool have been averaging 2 goals a game in home games this season. Of all the things that went against me this week I've no problem with the captaincy shout. It was a marginal call I'd always expect Liverpool to score more against Burnley than Everton would against wba.

I changed my mind to the opposite of a long considered plan at the last minute on a whim. So deserved what I got.

I also spent a good while on Friday night planning a few weeks ahead and talked myself out of getting King as he'd be a hit waiting to happen and went for Coutinho instead.

25 points odd in those 2 narrow calls.

Even this season? I feel like the old Pulis is gone. WB conceded 2 or more goals 8 times this season. And they only have 5 CS so far. Much much lower standards than what we're used to from Pulis isn't it?

That was only the second time this season wba have conceded more than 2 goals in an away game. They conceded 1 at both arsenal and Chelsea. I do agree with you pulisball is dead however if you look at Burnley and wbas away goals conceded and Liverpool and evertons home goals scored you would expect Liverpool to at least match or score more goals than Everton at the weekend. Having said that Burnley are now much better away from home than they were lots of narrow 1 goal defeats as opposed to the start of the season when they were losing by 3 goal margins.

I went with the bookies when choosing between Lukaku and Liverpool mids.
Everton to score 3 or more goals was 5/2, Liverpool was evens
