City centre restaurants

I'll be in Belfast on Friday and looking for somewhere nice - i.e. a proper restaurant - for a lunchtime meal.

A la carte menu, full wine list etc. In Dublin I'd opt for places like Fire, Peploes or Marco Pierre Whites. so something in that type of range.

Very fancy restaurants:
Ox - Oxford Street
Tedfords - Oxford Street
James St South - funnily enough on James St South
Holohons on the Barge - on a barge on the Lagan River

Nice restaurants:
Stix and Stones
Flame
The Ivory
Made in Belfast
Coco
Ginger
Havana Bank Sq
Mourne Seafood Bar
Fratellis

Any of those would be lovely.

+1000 for The Barge, great food and a lovely location.

Have been to Tedfords a few times, lovely food but the service has been downright shocking at times. Not planning on going back.

Plans scaled back a bit. Currently enjoying a glass of wine with lunch in The Ivory in House of Fraser!

The city centre is 10 mins walk from Central and there's a free bus if you've got a train ticket.

I'm looking for cheap places to eat in Belfast. For tomorrow. Pref. under a tenner, or even under a fiver. I don't eat meat, really,I'm not a veggie, just sick of the taste of it. A fish man, though the mourne bar is a bit overpriced for what it is IMO. Looking for something unusual, not in Dublin. I tried the cubanos place, but I'm looking for something different.

Dina Dina on Upper Arthur Street does lovely piadina which are pretty cheap IIRC. They also have mini pizza's.
