Oh I soon copped it. Having the author stand proudly with his chest out and white shaven head gave it away a bit. I don't know much about neo nazi iconocraphy tbh. Watched The Downfall of Berlin: Anonyma instead.

The opening credits has the Aryan Sun, used by various neo-fascist headbanger types; they're a nasty bunch that lot.

A few weeks ago, I impulse watched "The Galapagos Affair" on Netflix. Great documentary and a truly bizarre case.

Dreams of a Life is another good one, about a woman who lay dead in her flat for years. No one noticed her vanishing. I think this is on Netflix, as well.

'John's not mad'. Documentary about Tourette's. First shown over twenty years ago.

On second thoughts, 'The strangest village in Britain' is also a contender.

Anything ESPN make is fantastic. Whether you're into sport or not (or the particular sport being covered) they're just brilliant documentaries.

This is an oldie but definitely worth a watch to see how the wrestling industry worked back in the 90's focusing on a number of big names at the time. You don't need to have been a fan of wrestling to enjoy, Vince McMahon was not happy about this being put out and i'm pretty sure he tried to sue the director.

If you're interested in the JFK assassination conspiracy theory's, this is a good one. I only came across this recently which is surprising considering the interview is 14 years old now. It's an interview with James E Files from a prison where he was serving time for attempted murder a Chicago police officer - Last year, he was released on probation. Files claims to have been the Grassy Knoll shooter who fired the fatal head-shot at JFK on Nov 22 1963 and he has given only one recorded interview about it and felt able to talk about it because nobody actually wants to prosecute him.

He has been widely ridiculed but he does have a lot of believers too and the debate between the believers and non believers is interesting in itself. He's more than likely a pure bull****ter. But he's a pretty good bull****ter.

It's pretty long and the last hour+ is pointless

The Revolution Will Not Be Televised

Has this been mentioned? Irish-made documentary following Chavez' coup in Venezuela.

A great documentary and a mad story about how it was made, the crew were in the right place at the right time

The Imposter is a brilliant one about a man who stole the identity of a missing boy in Texas and subsequently went to live with the family in America.

The guy has spent his life stealing identities and he is interviewed throughout the documentary. I went into it not knowing anything and found it incredibly gripping.

This doesn't seem to be on Irish netflix, have been dying to watch it. Where did you find it can I ask?

Werner Herzog goodness about Timothy Treadwell's time bothering bears

    The Century Of The Self

Adam Curtis may be a bit intellectually dishonest in his presentation of topics, but this is fascinating and one of my favourites.

I've just watched this today after seeing it earlier in the thread.
I'm not sure what to make of it at all, but it sounds like
he became too wrapped up in his own conspiracies rather than going back to LA.

Silly to go back when 'his' bears had already hibernated and the other bears were around scavanging before hibernating

As others have mentioned, "The Imposter" is very good.

I also really enjoyed "Hot Coffee" on netflix. It uses the example of a Woman who sued McDonalds for Millions after she spilled Hot Coffee on herself and goes from there. They have a really interesting take on it.

Also "Dear Zackary" - Very good but be warned it's pretty emotional.

It's actually Called "The Seven Five" isn't it.

That is a good documentary but not hugely different to many episodes of The FBI Files on the Investigation Discovery channel
