That the one by Ken Burns? It's a good 'un.

Pretty much everything by Kenny is great. Except his jazz doc - that was only "good" (I love jazz but not some of the guys he interviewed for this).

The Civil War series he did is a masterpiece.

OJ: Made in America was a recent excellent one.

It's old school but 'Hoop Dreams' is excellent. Doesn't seem like much when you first start watching it but then you get sucked in.

I love the Storyville strand on BBC4 too. That was where I saw Blackfish. My sis and bro-in-law didn't like it, they thought it was unscientific and too righteous but I found the anger within the documentary bracing. Point of interest; the whale at the centre of the documentary, Tillikum, died recently.

'Paris is Burning' is another good 'un.

I watched all 3 parts of the OJ doc via the BBC iPlayer.

All 8 episodes of the doc below are up on Youtube - if you haven't seen it I'd highly recommend it.

Is this one of those anti holocaust films. I mean i'm as critical as i can be e.g. Jews being classed as their own race. But I dont want to be watching farcical denial stuff.

Only a touch of white supremacy........but the events did occur.

Hellstorm is a neo-Nazi production and you'd be a fool to be watching it.

Just to put my above comment into perspective, it's made by a media company called the Renegade Tribune who you can google. On this site you'll see their declaration that Jews are inherently evil as well as books for sale including "The Jew's Trail Through History" and guides to National Socialism.

The opening credits of the video actually feature new-Nazi iconography.

The Imposter is a brilliant one about a man who stole the identity of a missing boy in Texas and subsequently went to live with the family in America.

The guy has spent his life stealing identities and he is interviewed throughout the documentary. I went into it not knowing anything and found it incredibly gripping.

Currently watching "The War" by ken burns, really good. I never knew before watching it that a regiment of Japanese-American volunteers fought in Europe, while there families were held in detention camps back home, and suffering a 93% casualty rate.

+1. I thought it was another significantly better and non political documentary I watched on the same period produced by the BBC IIRC.

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

    One Million Dubliners

This is easily one of the most beautiful/heartbreaking documentaries I've ever watched. If you haven't seen it, I'd highly recommend it.
Glasnevin Cemetery is the final resting place of 1.5 million souls; it is Ireland's national necropolis. ONE MILLION DUBLINERS reveals the often unspoken stories of ritual, loss, redemption, emotion, history - and the business of death. But this is really a film about life: the Saint Valentine's Day rush in the florists; the American visitors eagerly searching for Irish ancestors; lost and longed for love; discovery and bereavement; earthy gravediggers and musicians in celebration.

Above all, it's the story of an immensely engaging Tour Guide shepherding his charges - and us - through the headstones and monuments, through opinions and beliefs. Filled with the familiar and the fascinating, this is a documentary that offers a glimpse into the unknown, into a world we will all come to share. Often humorous, always affecting,

ONE MILLION DUBLINERS explores life, death and the afterlife, and ends in a way that will stay with you forever. Even in a cemetery you never quite get used to death. Written by Underground Filmsb

Oh I soon copped it. Having the author stand proudly with his chest out and white shaven head gave it away a bit. I don't know much about neo nazi iconocraphy tbh. Watched The Downfall of Berlin: Anonyma instead.

    Crash and Burn

about a Drogheda man who made it to Formula 1 on pure raw talent, but suffered because of his working class background and wild personality , arguably more talented than Senna, at least equal anyway

during his downfall he was racing in Mexico for a team owned by a drug lord
