Not sure if anyone here is following his clips but Ryan Kuster has tons of clips on YouTube from his channel "How Farms Work".
Anyway this clip reminded me of our old house and loft where there were holes to put down hay and straw to the cows below.
I never saw ours in use but the building is still there.
Anyway for anyone who hasn't seen any of his clips.
    Here's the latest one.:)

In fairness you'd want to be fairly bad to fail, think 70% is a fail?

Lad in work was supposed to collect me from the airport this morning. Had given him my jeep to get to work saturday and collect me this morning. Turns out hes depressed over a relationship break up so went on the drink last night. Has no idea where my jeep is and is sitting in his room (he sublets a room from me) crying his eyes out. What the hell are you supposed to do in that situation??.

Just realised I'm off um 2 weeks today myself.
I'm on one of those pipe yokes aswell. It feels like it's smoking me.
At €15.75 a pack tis an expensive habit.

12 heifers in to calve tonight and I've another dirty dose on me sapping all my energy plus a dirty cough and sore throat :/
That's what I get for not taking my Ma's advice and wrapping up enough these past few wet days

Ian Dempsey played this on the radio this morning.

    https://youtu.be/x1xrDoQAETw

I thought it'd be a good request song for lads/lassies heading out milking. Turn it up loud in the parlour!

A weird bunch. The same lads literally burned £1million in cash in an old boathouse somewhere in Scotland and filmed it.
I remember Gay Byrne interviewing one of them on the Late Late years ago.
I remember a fellow apprentice who I was in digs with in Dublin back in the 90s being mad into their music.

How did you get her out? I had a weanling heifer get trapped in under the horizontal bar of a newton rigg cubicle last week. Easy get her out but she was bawling like mad.

Do any of ye know anything about goats??
I have a friend whose wife used to do all the 'goat stuff' for him but sadly she died last year and he is clueless. Anyway, several of them are missing tags and he is beginning to panic about this. I will tag them for him but I don't know where the tags come from! I did a quick 'google' but can't seem to find anything. Maybe I'm just being blind but can only find cattle stuff and sheep stuff.

We tried lifting her with the hoist. Ended up cutting the bolt and brackets that hold the cubicle on. She got up then and walked to the parlour, put her out in a paddock. The wall in front of her was stopping her from trying to get up

http://www.agriculture.gov.ie/animalhealthwelfare/animalidentificationmovement/nationalgoatidentificationsystem/ might be of some use to you, dunno about ringing the helpline though if he's missing some tags!
He should have a dispatch booklet like the sheep one though so maybe see if you can find that first, if not, ring the helpline number there and say it's gone awol and you need a new one. If they're anyway useful they should be able to find his details from name & address.
