The Toms ones, or the ones which are exactly the same, but cost about €5 in Spain?

    I don't buy the Tom's ones - I'm not a moron. I stretch to €10 to €12 for a pair though - wouldn't be caught dead in a €5 pair :D

I put them on as soon as I get home during the Summer.

They're too much of a nuisance to walk anywhere in though.

Poor Anne Frank was caught because she was wearing the flipping things around the attic.

I wear them all summer long around the house. Ideally I'd prefer to be barefoot, but that somehow freaks out my husband. So these are the next best thing.

I don't really wear them for walking around much. I'd want to go faster than they'd let me.

What, like those Japanese socks with a dent between the toes?

I wear them going swimming or to the gym showers.

    Love being barefoot at home.

Toms (and their ilk) are some of the ugliest shoes I've ever seen, and they stink.

I'm an unashamed flip flop lover. I apparently have nice feet so it's not like I'm subjecting gnarled, hairy, bunions on the people I meet on a nice summers day.

Got a pair of Haviana's last summer, they're class.

No I don't know if they are flip flops but have the ones without the "wire" between the toes
In Holland they both types called flip flops

What did the man with two left buy for his holidays?

    A pair of flip flips

Always where them hot or cold, they are the tit's.. Hate wearing shoes, but in fairness I kept the feet and toes in good nick so they don't look like gargoyle feet or anything.. Got a pair of those glove shoes too must unpack them.. Great job

That's how bad they are - if you wear flip flops Nazis will come and get you.

They're skanking. I'm not a fan of feet, bordering on a phobia. Sandals are bad enough.

Think you're getting flip flops mixed up with slides. ;)

they make sense in countries where you have an actual summer where your feet would sweat a lot in heat but don't have much of a place in Ireland.
however, even in Australia most decent bars/restaurants won't let people wearing them in.
    Espadrilles are a better option.

+1 on espadrilles. Keep your feet simultaneously cool and covered.

At home though, I go barefoot all year round.

Outside of work I live in them.
Crocs though are woeful. I have heard it said that wearing crocs is like a
Straight man getting a BJ from another man..............it actually feels quiet nice, the problem is when you look down.

My sister has a pair of crocs that are quite nice. No holes and much more dainty and streamlined than the usual kind.

Crocs in all forms are an abomination.

I wear socks under my sandals. Keeps the feet nice and toasty.

Sandals no socks, 365 days in the year.

    Free and breezy does it.
