He's a clown, there's a reason his input isn't needed as a pundit, too busy with the "bants" on Question of Sport.http://media.zenfs.com/en_us/News/Yahoo/ept_sports_mlb_experts-641831386-1287051863.jpg

It's also a bit hypocritical given he once flounced around blood sub rules by pointing out a cut on his knee and having a 10 minute rest for himself.

What's the background to all this?

What makes you think we will best wales in Cardiff. I wouldn't be planning the champioship playoff against England just yet.

Jeasus, I was just responding to a conversation that started off by asking if both England and Ireland win their next game..... I'm taking nothing for granted.

England rugby are doing a great job of making everyone hate them.

I totally get the use of mind games, but even the masters of this craft (Mayweather, McGregor, etc) can switch on some manner of dignity after the event. Jones' post-match comments today were tasteless and bizarre - just give Italy their dues making it a tough game. Slamming a beaten team for ruining the sport and refusing to speak to their media is the behaviour of the precious narcissist. Very interesting to see how long he lasts in the job once he loses his first match.

Every English player as the ball bounced off the post there:

I'm sure the loud collective butt-hurt will help turn attention away from how gormless their players looked in that first half.

This one has a certain gormless something about it :

I'd say even Ireland would have looked a bit silly today against Italy's tactics. At least until the coaches could redirect them at half time. Such is the risk when teams are so regimentally coached.

We had Australia do it on us. Don't think we'd be fooled again tbh.

Australia did the same thing against us in November, though not nearly to the same degree(it was mostly only Pocock and he only did it a few times). First time it happened Murray thought he was being smart and threw the ball straight to Pocock resulting in a turn over, after that he had the smarts to realise what was going on and either went for a snipe or directed someone to pick and go which usually resulted in a ruck and offside line being created.

None of the England players 1-15 had a clue how to react, Care was like a deer in the headlights, Haskell and Hartley clearly didn't know what was happening, nobody stepped in at any stage and directed the team to one of the fairly simple ways to try and counter it.

It isn't the first time its been used. The funny part was how long it took England the cop on.

The All England ITV panel (Woodward, Wilkinson and Dalaglio) were highly amused and full of praise for the Italians at HT.

I don't understand why they didn't just obliterate them up the middle. It was instant ball back on every occasion. They could even have the tackled player just pop it up. Italy would have given up yards for fun and soon changed their tactics.

So so many Rugby meme's have been born with this, and the classless reaction of Jones and others post match will ensure they live a long long time.

I cant think of a worse, bitter, or more irrational response from a coach. And the winning one to boot. He really does seem to be a despicable type.

I can't wait until England go through a bad patch and the knives come out for the whinging pom.

How hard is it to understand what you do when it's not a ruck? Seriously? They should be a laughing stock for this. And rightly so.

He'd built up a lot of goodwill after the Japan game, but he's public enemy no.1 now. I really hope this motivates our guys something fierce.

You know, I actually don't see a lot in this English team to be too afraid of. Their strongest aspect is their tight 5, and there is no question that it is fantastic. But we edge them in the back row (certainly on balance) and midfield (certainly in terms of stability), and have clearly superior halfbacks (if Sexton plays). If we can stop Daly doing damage out wide, I don't see too many areas they can hurt us.

Of interest to us though is that it shows Jones is genuinely rattled that the points difference is now probably out of his reach compared to ours, and that he is concerned about the game against us, and the unexpected possibility that he could lose the championship to us due to their failure to rack up a big differential today. It is one of the potential scenarios that swung in our favour today rather than England's.
