An England win was never in doubt, but it was fun watching them figure out what to do with the Italians, they were still very fortunate to get the 4th try IMO.

Also, Jamie George again showed he's a better player than Hartley.

    What planet is Hartley on?

Ireland only won in the last 10 minutes apparently

    How is he captain???

Hartley: "If you look at their last two games you can see that they were only beaten in the last ten minutes".

Obviously Hartley (and probably the rest of the team) never even bothered to watch any Italy games this championship.

    I actually don't mind the guy, but what a s p a c e r.

It was a pitch side interview after a tough game. I'm sure he wasn't at full attention

People looking to find anything to give the English a hard time

Lord Banterbury is a BBC pundit in waiting.

He was making a respectful comment about his opponents minutes after the final whistle. Yes, let's dissect it and find any inaccuracies with it.

Probably the wrong time to bring up Haskell being inconsistent then

He DID ask Poite what they could do about the "ruck thing"

Not a word on the knocks at the line in the rolling maul, nor Hartley's lack of leadrship, nor Farrell's shítshow. Take a bow ITV.

ITV, Dylan Hartley and Haskell were ****ing cringey there. Hartley still didn't seem to understand what had been going on, then said "If you look at Italy's last couple of games, they've been beaten narrowly." Ehhhh, no Dylan. Haskell whinging about Poite not explaining the laws of the game to him, and ITV panel surmised that England reacted as well and as quickly as any other team would do "Except maybe New Zealand". ****ing hell lads.

He's a thug and a cheap-shot artist, not the brightest either by the looks of things. So yeah, open field IMO.

Fun game to watch but, sadly, the conclusion was inevitable. I imagine Paddy Power and friends cleaned up but in my wisest decision of the weekend I stayed away from the betting. :D

Needed the non contesting thing explained to him, blew up then went upstairs, scrum called but was a line out
Didn't see the game, but if there's a knock on into touch, the opposition have the choice of scrum or line out.

Italy kicked it out. TMO initially claimed it was kicked over the dead ball not into touch

Oooohhhhh. Eddie Jones very ungracious there. Saying its not rugby, and citing Trevor Chappell. Very, very sore about it. Thats disgraceful. And a scurrilous accusation against Italy's sportsmanship. Soccer would sanction that kind of comment. And rightly.

Eddie Jones is a slug of a person and I've never wanted to beat England more than now because of him. He has it coming with his comments about everyone else.

Eddie Jones showing his true colours

Of course it was rugby, the beauty of rugby union is that it is a cerebral game, there's more than one way to play, you got out-thought, take it on the chin

No different from not contesting a maul and sacking it. Tough luck, Eddie. You were out thought and it might end up costing you the title.

An Australian talking about poor sportsmanship.

From a kiwi point of view if carlsberg did irony...

No matter, it was a joy to see Perfidious Albion struggle against Italy. Needless to say who everybody in my local in Enniscorthy were cheering on - including this proud Brit. :D

Eddie Jones should go the whole hog and request that trying to win when playing England be made illegal.

All he was missing was to call it 'fake rugby', and say the Italians wouldnt be invited back to Twickenham again.

There's a reason teams don't do it. Even if you block the SH from passing either side, he can pass behind and get it wide that way.

Every tactic has an achilles heel. Italy had to tie up at least four players around the ruck to make it work. England could have made them pay for it if they'd actually thought about it instead of whinging to Poite.

I'd say Conor O'Shea is rightly chuffed with how he got his revenge for the 'cleaners' comment. England now look like chumps, even though they won.

Pretty poor comments from Jones after the match but then he is known for it.

Spot on. Well done Conor O'Shea.

    I like Eddie.

What's the point in going on about what a stiff challenge teams like Italy will pose.

My god, Jones has inherited the "whinging pomme" trait. What a classless individual.

Just saw Jones on the BBC, he's a sour individual

Whats the point of accusing them of not playing rugby and of being unsportsmanlike ?
