Leaving aside a large meteorite strike it's going to be self inflicted. Climate change, competition for diminishing resources, religious fundamentalism and more nuclear weapons add up to a messy conclusion.

I reckon some fast acting, all medication resistant virus will get us in the end...if a big mushroom cloud doesn't get us first...failing that it's dodging natural disaster and button pushing despots for a few hundred millennia until we are fried by solar radiation and the earth is eventually consumed by the expanding sun prior to going supernova.

I think I'm going to go hang out in Sunshine, Lollipops & Rainbows for a while...
