If laziness was the excuse, I deserve a swift kick up the arse...but its more a lack of time!!
Cant bring myself to do a half arsed 30min job on it, and that's exaggerated by bogging roads for 1 mile either direction of the estate entrance!

Sure you've plenty of time on your hands...you know where I am! :D :P

Herself lives on a farm that must be on the only local road in Dublin with grass in the middle.

I've given up even washing my car until her road is no longer a stream of mud with some tarmac under it.

Something about the rear wheel drive makes me want one.

Fully loaded MV6 running Vectra GSi 3.2 (or 3.0 cant remember what the seller told me) fitted with rare Irmscher kit inside and out. Take it out now and then makes a lovely cruiser mobile.

Mate got it for collection purposes I'd say and he's a detailer to so will make uber mint and tuck it away with odd summery drive.

Only shot I got from previous owner, others I must have sent to mate on facebook with out saving them

Bit nervous as they not long moved in to new house and he most likely used some house money to buy it. Most likely replaced it by now but holding out before the who where what how needs explaining :pac: :pac:

Anyone know if Fly By forte is suitable for use on Perspex? (Helmet visor)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,377 ✭✭✭Curran

Flyby 30 would be a better option - you might run into etching / streaking issues with Flyby Forte on Perspex. Flyby30 would bead the water sooner also...and given there is no friction of wipers on the surface, it will last way longer than its rated for a windscreen!

Thanks. I only have Flyby 40 and it's for tomorrow at autoheroes. Let's hope it stays dry!

I have just opened the box of the Flyby Forte. What is the block and the orange cloths for? The instructions don't mention them at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,377 ✭✭✭Curran

Is this the kit you got?

    carpro-flyby-forte-15ml-full-kit.jpg

The block is to be used with Ceriglass to polish the glass surface, brown surface of the block to the glass.
The Eraser to remove the polish / prep of the surface.
The orange cloths can be used for either application or removal - obviously a fresh cloth for each task

Cheers, to be honest I am trying to get it before Saturday I have a car to do that I'm nervous about and just want peace of mind. Very few of the eBay/Amazon sellers offer delivery before the weekend unfortunately and the only one I found in the country was sold on adverts for €50 to someone near me about 2 months ago I'd nearly give him that just for a loan of it :-D

Does anyone know after a minor service at the main dealers do they generally wash the car? Mines is going in tomorrow and I'm unsure if they would wash it. I'd obviously prefer them not to as I assume they have some sort of horrible drive through thing they use?!
