I thought Arrival was the best film I've seen in a long time. I don't really look back at films to see which was the best, I'm usually waiting for new ones to come out. I don't like seeing films twice either, unless I stumble across it on TV I might leave it on. Hacksaw Ridge was brilliant too, best war scenes ever filmed in my opinion. Looking forward to Dunkirk this year.

I doubt it. They clearly grew massively in their sing writing ability over a mere few years. That had nothing to do with the time they were around.

I'd argue that the drug culture of the time played a massive influence on how they evolved both lyrically and musically.

If you give specific attention to the bass melodies McCartney came out with post-LSD it's like he's drawing from a much broader palette.

Thats not to say drugs made them, just I think it definitely helped to ease out whatever was in them.

Clapton. Cocaine supports this theory hands down.

Film: It Follows - Horror film from about 2 or 3 years ago. Quite slow moving but beautiful to look at. It's one of those films that stays with you for a while after you watch it.

Song: While You're Alive by Jeff Rosenstock. It's off an album by him called Worry, from last year, which is probably the best thing I've heard in a while.

The Brothel by Susanne Sundfor is a great album. I can't really pick one standout song from it as they're all great.

No idea about films. I've seen some I've enjoyed recently but I usually forget about them shortly after. I can't remember the last great one I saw. If you count documentary films then I'd say The Imposter.
