Absolutely disgraceful decision to give that peno. Meath player had'nt a hope of getting near the ball.

It was daftness by the keeper... not sure if he did trip him or not but he should never have been in the position.

If he had'nt body-checked the Meathman, there would be no peno. But then, what would any of us have done at 18/19?

I thought he'd got away with it... Crazy antics but who cares if they fell over the line. The history books won't.

Please god this will be the start of the next generation. Westport at underage level are the king pins so it is no surprise to see so many u18 boys playing today . It will stand by them .

Some of their young guys had great belief, no fear and they only in leaving cert :D. They made some mistakes where they could have laid off the ball but the speed and confidence to take on their man and leave him for dead was really impressive. If they keep improving they will be a real hard working and difficult side to beat.

Delighted for Keegan, although he was quite enough but he just has a habit of doing the right thing when the pressure is applied.

Fantasic scenes in Westport, fair play to all involved. Some great young players there, hope it gives the County a boost.

Well done Westport, with such a young panel too you'd hope that they may be challenging Castlebar, Ballintubber, Knockmore, Breaffy etc in a couple of seasons. Can only be good for Mayo football!

Was very worried when Kevin Keane came off (he was very emotional bless him), and they made hard work of it, but a great win nonetheless. Delighted for all the lads, some great scenes at the end. Shane Scott put in a great shift in midfield.

Well done Westport! First time hanging around in Croker after the final whistle on finals day for a Mayo team (didn't leave till nearly 6 o clock)! It's a nice experience..... :).

Couple of cracking points by Shane Scott. I'd say that 50 yarder is one of the scores of the year.

Not good news for Kevin Keane, I've heard. Don't think we'll see him play again this year.
