No name of the landlord on the fixed term contract

    Hi,

If there is no name of the landlord on the fixed term contract, is it still valid? (actually I am not even sure who the landlord is, just paying to a person living in the apartment who is not very consistent in his claims).

Beside, I want to leave, can he still keep the deposit even though people are willing to take the room (but he want people who would stay 1 year)?

Sounds to me like the other tenant has sublet to you, and probably without the actual landlord's knowledge if they're having difficulty keeping their story straight. Or they could be a relative of the landlord managing it themselves.

This means you're not actually a tenant at all but a licensee with very little practical rights as far as I'm aware.

Your best bet would be to try and find out who the actual landlord is and contact them.

Thanks. But do you think the contract is valid even though there is no name of the landlord, just mine with what I can pay, do, etc.?

it's a completely different story if you are renting or sub letting, you need to check this....different rights and everything.

Find out who the actual land lord and if you are tenant or leasee

    Apparently I was a licencee.

At first the guy told me that he took care of everything for the landlord then in the end, said that he was subletting. Anyway, I signed a contract where there is no "authority", just my obligations. And this scumbag wanted me to pay water charges...

It should exist a website where we would see the comment of tenants on specific addresses.

He lied twice, wanted money so much that it is disgusting.
