Dry lining or sand and cement interior finish ?

Hi all, I built a block extension onto an old stone house, it is air tight but where do I go from here ?

What is the best way to finish the interior, dry line or sand and cement ?
Which would be the best quality?
Which would be the cheapest ?

A local plasterer said that if I hung the dry lining that it would be just as cheap as paying him to plaster in sand and cement. He wants €100 a day to do the skimming. Does that sound right ?

The exterior needs to be plastered too so should I just let him do inside and out in one go in sand and cement ?

Do I need to hang the doors first ?

Can I tile straight onto the block work seeing as I am tiling the full walls and floor in the bathroom ?

How have you air tightened the walls?

If it was me I would always go the sand/cement route because of the superior thermal mass.

you want thermal boards inside and skimmed

a render of your choice for the external

that plasterer does not sound very knowledgeable the rate is to cheap to suggest sand and cement to exterior walls here may well cause damp issues depending on how you built
