What to set radiator/tap dials to on boiler

I have a Worcester Bosch 34CDi combi gas boiler and it has 2 dials that go from 1-6: radiator heating and water heating.

Every time I get a plumber over to work on something which involves the boiler (like fitting new taps etc) or getting it serviced, they always change the dials. Latest I found them at was 4 / 4.

I found a note in my drawer that I made when I got a plumber over a few years ago that said I should set the radiator dial to 6 and keep water at 4 (or whatever I like)..but keeping the radiator at 6 was pretty much insisted upon.

To me, it makes more sense to put it to 6 since this will mean the rads reach their required temp faster before the radiator thermostat cuts them off, and so more efficient? Is this right?

Also the water dial goes, 1,2,3,4,e,6. Should I put it at "e" to make sure it's most efficient??

    thanks.
