The company's name is Waterfield Designs and yes, they're definitely not cheap. Expect to pay around €100. They're an American company and it's highly unlikely it'll be available here.

Though they have a 3DS XL Cityslicker case for $59.

Edit: If you do a search on their site you can find a few videos.

Nintendo Switch interview: Nintendo on the price, games and hopes for its new console

Just a snippet from the interview.
Will the smartphone to be integral to the service beyond the voice chat?

Koizumi Yes, we like to think as Switch as working very well together with smartphones so we’re basing quite a few plans surrounding that.

They'll definitely use the camera function on smart phones.

I think it's interesting to see Nintendo use all these 'new', well new publically, faces in the media and interviewing for Switch. People like Koizumi and Takahashi especially. Koizumi's CV is incredible reading to be honest. He was an illustrator on Mario Kart for the SNES, assistant director on Mario 64, he did character and game design for Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask and amongst many others was director of both Mario Galaxy and Mario Sunshine. Takahashi as well will almost certainly be a future CEO of Nintendo.

What ports of games are people hoping will come to the Switch in the first year? Sure they will not run like they do on PS4P or Xbone like now, but they will be on a handheld also, which is the amazing thing to me for any console game.

For me, I'd love FFXV and 7remake too, The two Tomb Raider games on one cart, RE7 (I bet it will come if the switch sells extremely well), Fallout4 with all DLC, Doom, to think of a few. I have these for ps4, but I would trade them in and get them for the Switch.

Also, I'm totally sure the switch handheld part will be upgraded every two years to keep up with 3rd party games. Kind of a no brainer.

Absolutley agree this video is worth a watch, he made Z targetting in ocarina of time, which is now commonplace in 3d games now, but hes the father of it and the story of majoras mask.

Nome really. I've a pc fir those games and a PS4 is carrying out dust collecting duties. I'll be getting the switch for Nintendo games and exclusives and hoping it ta k es over from where the 3DS left off.

We can thank Iwata for that and putting a human face on these people. Takahashi in particular is a legend and probably more important to videogames and Nintendo than miyamoto. He has been heavily involved in some of the greatest games of all time. His cv is insane.

By the looks of the graphics and straight number crunching the Switch as close to the Xbox as the Xbox is to the PS4, at 720p there won't be a huge gap, most PS4 and XBOX games run at 900p anyways.

I'd love Dark Souls, Rocket League, Darkest Dungeon, FTL, Civ, XCOM, Terraria, Sunless Sea or Dragons Dogma. Realistically I'd play nothing but these games if I had them on the go.

And I'd forgo all of them for XCOM.

What I wouldn't give for a portable XCOM.

What do you mean by the last bit

The Switch should be looking for new games, preferably exclusives. Not old, overpriced, weaker ports. I've posted here before of how FF XV and RE 7 aren't happening. There'd probably be too much cutting and sacrifice to make them fit on the Switch. Think Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop. *shudders*

I can see an upgrade cycle of three to four years. But given that they aren't interested in the power arms race of the other consoles I can't see them doing it simply for 3rd party titles.

You know the upgraded ports test would be amazing on the Switch?
The two 3DS Kirby games, bundled into a new Kirby Super Deluxe collection, maybe include Epic Yarn and Return to Dreamland as well.

Just in case you're unaware, Xcom is on Android and a quite decent port.

On that lineup, Zelda looks terrific, but there isn’t many games for day one. Does that not concern you?

Takahashi Certainly we look at it not just from the perspective of what are the games available on launch day but what we have from a lineup perspective not just from this year but into next year aswell. And speaking just about this year we have our launch games, Zelda and 1-2-Switch, and we’ve lined up so we’ve got great games launching in each season of this year. We’ll have Mario Kart shortly after launch, Arms in the Spring, the lineup continues after the holiday. This time we feel we’ve launched a system that has great games at launch in Zelda and 1-2-Switch but also a very strong lineup through the end of the year aswell.

Koizumi As you know we’ve been focussed on development on first party games, but with Nintendo Switch we’ve also put a lot of energy into making third-party cooperation possible, and that includes a lot of attention paid to the development environment that we are provided to these partners as well as the middleware we create for them. Soon you will a lot more announcements from third-party partners.

That's a full size SD card. You should get a micro SD. Buy them from someone who has great customer service as there's a lot of fakes everywhere.

Has there been any update on eShop games?

I'm itching to play something like Geometry Wars on the switch.

    Poor enough port I thought?

    Damn, portable XCOM everywhere

Regardless... I still want it on Switch

Regarding fake cards how would you know if bought from a reputable source can't really see Currys/Argos or other high street stores selling fakes, buying online maybe.

I'm switching to eshop for most of my purchases for switch games other than main titles like Zelda, Mario Kart etc, has any info been released yet to as what the availability of access to the US or Japanese eshops will be. Can see many titles being regionalised for access rather than playability as the carts will be region free but will the digital versions be too.

I think this years E3 is going to be an interesting one for the Switch.
At least then we'll hopefully see new, unannounced third party releases being flagged as including a Switch release... hopefully...
