There was entertainment and meals included in Manchester too.
And the price was a lot more than €100.
    £200-400 if I remember correctly.

Obviously some punter as seen the Manchester event. Figured it work here and jumped at it. Sure why not, if people will pay it. It's not an outrageous price depending on the food included

Is he that badly stuck for 10 or 20 grand.

He's getting a good bit more than that. He's not fighting for 10 months, he's got leases to pay!

Dunno how much ore he'd be getting but it's not mega bucks.

104 a head and I think I read somewhere that that place can take 450 people.

    450*104=46.8K

I'm sure after VAT and paying for the food and venue he wouldn't be far off what Killergreen mentioned.

everyone loves a back of a stamp estimate :D

Its a paid piss up cant blame him making hay while the sun shines, maybe he has already done it but I'd like to see him go visit some kids schools, clubs or something similar to inspire the younger generation instead of paid piss ups (again he could've already but I havent heard of it).

He might be only $20k, but the alternative is answering questions for free elsewhere. Why wouldn't he do it?

Venue prob happy to break even on food and take the bar profits. However can't imagine there is a lot for Conor out of it.

This will he won't he on Floyd and possible fall out with ufc **** is getting stale... its all a bit meh at this stage. Won't be going even if I had a mate that was well up for going, certainly not going stag.

He probably just gets a buzz off at this stage, 20k is a drop in the ocean. No doubt he'll be in full mac-mode like in manchester, not the most interesting of interviews.

Anyone catch the instagram video he put up of himself sparring boxing in SBG?

I'd say Mayweather is shaking in his Gucci boots.

4 years yesterday he signed for the UFC. Mad that he was out for an entire year after the ACL and still managed to win 2 world titles.

Seems to be getting a bit of reputation for loving a party which there is nothing wrong with at all , and id imagine 80 % of stories to be false but I hope he remembers how famous he is and in this age of camera phones/video phones/snap chat and what not , he could land himself in trouble pretty quickly ,He's doing the country proud but some people would love to see him fail

I'm not exactly Freddie Roach, but given the way his opponent was wildly swinging back, I'd imagine Conor was charging him for a minute in the ring with the Champ Champ

I'm reading Tyson's book at the moment (Undisputed Truth), and there are quite a few paralells to both their stories when you look at the meteoric rise, the fame, the money, the cars, clothes and the rumours

It seems that McGregor is completely focused on this fight with Mayweather which I guess means he will be concentrating on pure boxing for the next twelve months or so. How hard/easy will it be to pick up where he left off with regards to jiu-jitsu/wrestling after taking a year off from practicing it?

Something is not right at the moment and seems a little off .

I know Conor took a year off due to the birth of his child which is to be appauded . Surely the best think to do is fight when the iron is hot and have another 10 million in his bank account

Ireland is a very small country and his party lifestyle hasnt seem to have stopped . Surely that is worse at the moment than being in a fight camp.

The fact the new owners haven't even made contact with him is a bit weird aswel.

He's also due in New York in March for Michael Conlons debut for a week on the lash.

    Its bizzare

It's not that bizarre is it? Young man who has been working his bollocks off for the past number of years takes a bit of time out to enjoy the fruits of his labour.

ITs hardly impressive that clip, looks very amateur to be honest. The last second, his partner swings a right hook and he looks a bit rocked. Atleast its Mayweather he'll be only fighting, you would worry for his safety if it was someone else.

Id tend to agree with sweet Science,
I find it strange all the rumours and the pictures people are sharing on social media, It strike me he doesn't realise how famous he is and trust to many people , from a guy who says he keeps his circle small, with certain pics and rumours around that doesn't seem to be the case, I noticed in the interview he done in Manchester he mentioned himself that he had gone off the rails a bit the last few week
From a fighting point of view going on 2 days session even on off season is not good, even more so when he seems to have cardio issues ,id be using off season to get my cardio in the top top bracket, ,
Its well documented in top athletes that alcohol has a lasting effect on cardio ,

All this sh*te of people having photos of him partying are BS. You think if photos of him doing lines were floating around that they wouldn't be all over the papers by now? Look how every f*cking paper ran the video of him trying to grab that guys phone while he was snap chatting. This thread last few pages read like an all girl's secondary school with all the gossip.

I never mentioned doing drugs anywhere ? So that kinda proves my point  but why put yourself in that position where people jump to the conclusion you just did,

    Wasn't solely directed at ya

He fights and beats Woodley/GSP/Thompson next he's P4P GOAT.

So he has to jump (arguably) two weight classes and beat guys who walk around close to 200 pounds to be considered the GOAT?

After winning two UFC belts in two weight divisions?

    My god.
No. IF was the key word there. IF he does that in his next fight - which he has mentioned - then yes he is GOAT.

Currently he is not GOAT. To be in the discussion, he either needs to beat the challengers mentioned - he beats Khabib, Diaz 3 and Holloway 2 hes GOAT. Or go crazy and beat someone 200 pounds like you say.

I've heard a rumour he got £150k for the Manchester event. Plus upside on all the merch, PPV(ffs) and % of drinks etc.
The red cow event  - guessing this one is more a favour to a mate as such - maybe not even make a penny, just pay a mates salary for a year with it and get a free night out.
The price is fair enough for me, You'd not have much change out of that price for a good 4 course meal in central dub anyways.

The phrase GOAT has been severely diluted over time it seems.

How's it bizarre? He said he was pretty much taking most of the year off and that seems to be exactly what he's doing. He obviously has no plans to be fighting until the end of this year maybe early next year.

I don't think he's struggling for money even if he buys a few new cars and has a few mad nights out.

He won't be long blowing through his cash if he is on the dab himself and covering it for his mates too. Suppose he could be getting cost price too what with his old pals in the boxing club.

Mod: Enough with the spurios comments and allegations or you will be taking another break.

    Like riding a bike.
He's not going to forget how to pass guard in a year. It will take a bit of time to get to peak sharpness.

He took time off, I don't think he ever said it was a year.

I don't think you'll be getting anything close to a good 4 course meal.

    Red Cow Wedding McGregor Menu
    Vegetable soup
Turkey and ham or roast beef
Apple pie or Baileys cheese cake
    Tea or Coffee
