    Hi,
I was wondering if anybody living in the Monamolin/Boolavogue area of Wexford could recommend satellite internet providers. Thanks :)

I wouldn't recommend ANY satellite providers. Satellite BB is only one step-up from dial-up in my book. Too expensive, too limited, too laggy and badly affected by something called rain , which happens occasionally in this country.

If you can't get FTTH or FTTC, then try:
    • Imagine
    • Fixed Wireless (locate services using this map)
    • Mobile
    in that order.

Satellite will break your heart (it did for me).

I have been looking for awhile now, we currently have a mobile modem and it's useless on the best of days. I'm thinking about trying regional broadband as they seem to be the best option I've seen, but I was wondering if anybody else had this problem and what they used.

    We're with regional broadband.
If I had my way I'd rip it off the chimney. It's slow, laggy, bad service all round. I think we'll be cancelling our subscription very soon. My mobile data is far quicker. Get yourself a good mobile deal with data being top priority, and use it as a hotspot. We're outside Enniscorthy and unless you have a fixed line, or bottomless pockets of cash, their aint no decent broadband service here. You could opt for their 70 euro a month package........but we aint!.....and then you'd probably get a decent service.
Broadband services are absolutely crap in our area........unless you're willing to pay OTT.

You might be lucky and get Whizzy, they're based in Gorey

I think they have a few masts, one on Tara hill near Courtown which would be 250 or 300 metres up

Maybe try Imagine.ie if you can see slieve boy,it's near Carnew but is visible from Ferns,I do know that
