A newbie question...what is the documentation / paperwork required by Volkswagen when applying for their finance for a new car.

Anything from photo ID up to and including bank statements or 3 months payslips. My wife was approved for finance last week without anything. Really depends but I'd guess with VW bank as they can make up their own rules, they're not not that fussy - once you're not on the ICB etc obviously

Used VW finance in 2013. Only asked for ID. Applied for Vw finance for another new car lately and got approved straight away.I think once you don't have a bad credit history you'll get approved without having to show much or anything at all, like in my case.
