Is the "Airzooka" legally a toy in Ireland?

Theres this german youtuber who makes these mad air guns and rifles. He said in germany that so long as the projectile is riding over the barrel (rather than inside a barrel) then its legally a toy and you don't need a gun license.

I've had difficulty finding any kind of formal definition on the subject for ireland. Would the airzooka be legal here?

It would be illegal here , putting one social media if you had one here would get you an official visit for a firearms offences

If you got hit in the head with that, it could well be lethal, so it'd probably qualify as a firearm under part (a) of the definition in the act:

“firearm” means—
(a) a lethal firearm or other lethal weapon of any description from which any shot, bullet or other missile can be discharged,
