credit card terminal for 2 seperate accounts ?

    Hi does anyone know if i can use 1 credit card terminal for 2 seperate accounts / businessess ?

    I am looking at sharing a work space with a collegue but and wondering will we need 2 seperate credit card terminals or can we share one.

    Never heard of it being done and doubt it can be. Even if you could I don't see why you would it would be an unnecessary pain figuring out the where the payments were going. Just get two and make life easy!

    yeah thats what i was thinking too. could be a nightmare with payments going to wrong acc etc.

    While it would be against the terms of what ever provider you use, i have known cases of business "sharing" a Merchant Account, it never lasted and always ended up in arguments over fees and chargebacks.
