Lol if she considers herself a celebrity....

In the same Snapchat she sent a picture of a newspaper article of her engagement

Oh i would definitely say she considers herself a celebrity! shes seriously hot but I dont think most people know who she is, like I wouldn't say she is ever harassed for selfies walking down main road swords! :D

Seriously hot? Each to their own I guess but if she walked into any bar in town on a sat night she wouldn't get a second look in my opinion

Has someone set up the last word thread yet?

I set one up yesterday evening and it seems to have been merged with an older one. True to form, everyone's giving out already on it :D

I have seen her out and about around town and taking selfies with "fans" who have come up to say hi , not mobbed but she definitely gets recognized

Y'see I really don't think that's much of an option and I can't imagine I'm the only one. What to do when you're just the wrong side of 40 and your radio station has callously decided that it doesn't want you or your type anymore?

So there's pretty much an entire demographic that perhaps don't want the straight-laced-ness of RTE Radio 1 (well not all day anyway) and most certainly isn't going to listen to the inanity of 2FM or the now fully 98FM-icised Today FM.

So what's left? Newstalk - is that really all there is now?

I don't think it's fair to say they don't want your type anymore. It's that your type has changed to the type the station never wanted apart from at weekends with Jim O'Neill.
Id lose it if he axed McCloone, it picked up awards recently so I don't think it might be chopped just yet

I support Paul McLoone going, only if Tom Dunne were to return. :o

If they get rid of Paul McCloone I'll be gone. It;s just the same show over and over. I miss having healthy debate and conversations in the morning. I miss Anton doing the guess what quiz. :( so annoying

Any chance that the bring back Friday night 80's,Friday nights are not the same

    Not a hope.

According to Phil Cawley, it was gotten rid of because it giving the station an older sound, so the chances of that returning are next to zero.

This could come in useful for Paula's legal team when she inevitably takes a case against you for stalking.

"I have seen her out and about around town" - I bet you have! :D

Ya she is a good one alright.

I just prefer not listening to her.

Presenters who have been knifed by Mac Cormac since he arrived = Declan Meehan, Jim O Neill, Derek Flood, Anton Savage.. Next on his list I'd say, Phil Cawley, Paul McLoone

Would Dave Couse be on this list too or is he too long gone. I used like him on a Sunday night. The odd night he would just stay on air for an extra 30/40 minutes just because he wanted too.

in fairness i think she is a good presenter too but a bit daft

Who came up with that nugget of genius? It's stupidity is further compounded by the fact that there's also a 6 at 6 where basically they're saying 'hey kids! Here's a another story that was too s*** for the 5 at 5 but that we're including now because there's a ridiculous numerical imperative!'

Agree about the 5 at 5 and 6 at 6 being cringeworthy.

"So, I hear 600 children in Syria have died in the last month?"

"Yes, that's right Matt. 600 children in Syria have died in the last month."

and so it goes on. I want to hear the news, not have a chat show about it with a newsreader being all earnest about 'fleshing out' the news and a host who'd rather be writing for the Business Post.

p.s. Anyone notice the new take on the old logo? It's in the various Twitter pics from Ian Dempsey's ski trip. Did they get one of Alison Curtis's kids to draw it on Microsoft Word?

Definitely too long gone, Mac Cormac arrived around last spring but Couse is gone about 3 years afaik.

he still fills in for McCloone, I could see Cathal Funge(is that his name)either taking the replacement role or overtaking McCloone, if the PD is getting rid of staff

More wimmin need to be called up on this. I know a few who are married a few years and still talk about their wedding every farking day. They need to understand that no one cares and are probably hoping you don't invite them to their "special day".

So more mockery and less congrats please :)

Same boat - few girls I know engaged and they come off as they're the only ones to be engaged/married

You have it bad Jezzer! :)

Seen her out a few times now over last few years and she's grand but nothing to turn heads at all-wouldn't call her hot anyway. Each to their own though obviously.

She's absolutely dire on the radio though.

Dermot and Dave not working for me at that time of the morning either - was well on for them in the afternoons but I don't think it works in the early shift for some reason.

maybe I have unusual tastes so but I think she is smokin hot!!

Yea D&D really arent mid morning material at all, they are too much fun, mind morning is more about steady chat and music radio, lunchtime was the perfect slot for them

Anton's Book on book for 2016Q4 is -2,000 (granted his year on year is poor). But was the trigger pulled too fast?

I really think Today are struggling and the new line up is not whats needed.

wow dempsey is in a spot of bother there? thought i heard him say this moring it was all good?

And Fergal Darcy's show is doing well?!? (In comparison to other shows it's not, but standing alone he is) Am more shocked at that tbh
