Pretty happy with that, he seems highly rated in England.

Also means Gilks is off, which imo isn't a big loss. He improved since the beginning of the season but was never going to be first choice.

He was a very good, solid, backup keeper but he probably needs to be playing first team football and we can't give him that. Wes and this lad should be our future goalkeepers for years to come. I'm think we are in good shape in that position.

Confirmed now that he's off to Wigan, undisclosed fee.

Good for him, hope he gets his regular football there. Also happy to see we got something for him.

    Tonight's team news

MARTYN Waghorn starts for Rangers against Hearts at Tynecastle as the only change to the Light Blues side who beat Motherwell at the weekend.

Michael O’Halloran is serving the first of a two game suspension after his red card at Fir Park and the 27-year-old slots in to replace him the frontline.

The other team news is that Jak Alnwick is named on the Gers bench for the first time after arriving from Port Vale on Monday.

Lee Hodson has recovered from a back issue to make the bench for Mark Warburton.

At the back it remains unchanged at Warburton plays four in defence; James Tavernier, Rob Kiernan, Clint Hill and captain Lee Wallace. Andy Halliday sticks with his holding role in midfield while loanees Jon Toral and the weekend’s star perfomer Emerson Hyndman also start in the middle.

RANGERS: Foderingham, Tavernier, Kiernan, Hill, Wallace, Halliday, Toral, Hyndman, McKay, Miller, Waghorn

Subs: Alnwick, Hodson, Senderos, Holt, Forrester, Dodoo, Windass

Cracking shot from Hyndman evens it up 1-1

Mistake from Halliday again and they are in 2-1

Halliday and Kiernan can both **** off. Completely useless.

Warburton's position is starting to become unsteady too, he simply can't get the players motived for tough away games.

4-1 and he takes Hyndman off. Get rid ffs.

A replica of the last performance at Tynecastle for me. We have a plan 'a' but no plan 'b' to fall back on. Kiernan isn't good enough to play for us and I hate saying that about one of our players. Am over at the game at the weekend, so I am hoping for reaction from the lads. Are you happy to stick with Warburton for the moment? People on other forums want shut of him but I don't see the point in doing that until the end of the season at the earliest.

I think ye should give him time.

A contract extension to show the players he's sticking around. Theres magic in that hat still.

Nope, he can leave tonight for all I care.

That interview was a disgrace. Interviewer asked what went wrong, he literally said 'I don't know', later some stuff about we have to 'look after the other club's asset' when asked why Hyndman was taken off.

Nonsense, stability is needed. He must stay

Apparently this is a quote from Warburton that's going to appear in papers tomorrow:

"“I’m reading in the paper Celtic are on a record-breaking run. If they won four games less, they would be 13 ahead. If we had won one of our games it would be 10."

Is he working his ticket now?

Naw, he's a former city trader. He's trying to dazzle them with his insider knowledge of maths haha.

    Wallace with the equaliser 1-1

Wallace equalises 1-1, still I don't feel like celebrating it though!

Ah now. If you'd won the three games against Ross County instead of drawn them you'd be six points better off and Aberdeen would be five points behind you. Don't forget that.

    Why?

He narrowed the gap by a point today.

Hearts breathing down the neck as well, goal difference is appalling for a team joint 2nd

    Keep him

Edit: Just seen the after match interview 'Goals change games'!! & 'We're going to cut the gap on Celtic, we're going to get back to winning domestic titles and European titles'!! :pac:

Warburton has come out with some ridiculous press conferences in recent weeks, even worse than the mark mcghee one you all mocked wholeheartedly.

Doesnt know his 5-1 defeats from his 4-1...

    Still have confidence in him?

He didn't really come out with that, did he?

But it seems he's been hypnotised to forget about the 5-1 thrashing by Celtic. Its the only logical explanation for the press conference after the thumping by Hearts!
