Absolutely no need to lay on the horn here.

It is this type of aggressive driving that make drivers petrified of pulling from a side road on to a main unless they see an opening a half mile long. Meanwhile those behind must wait.

You acknowledge yourself it's a busy road. Cut the driver some slack.

Not going to argue the horn, I should have probably not done that.

It is a busy road. I've no problem if people want to pull out of a junction like that, just be ready to do so quickly if you insist on pulling out in front of traffic that is close. Coming out like that with approaching traffic and crawling up the road is daft driving.

first one came from behind me to cut back in and slow me down to 50 km/h,
second one, guy didn't look once up from his phone, luckily I decided not to kill him.
third one, Jag just don't give a f**k, he indicates, he goes.

Epic youtube oversensitive censoring due to background music, they normally just yank the soundtrack.

Yeah, they pulled my soundtrack the other day.
Got an email saying copyright claim by record company.
They should be paying us to advertise their music!:D

He was hoping that there was a magic lane that he could slip into!

    It's actually pretty smart driving.

It's at the round about at the entrance to the Airport. Traffic from the right is from the M1 and the exit to the left is the entrance to the Airport.

I can't remember where the traffic lights are but they restrict entrance and going around the round about so the red car is getting right into his lane without impeding any other lanes. As you can see there's only a short window between the lights to get onto the round about from that road.

I was in his position last week :P

Yes I understand what you mean, if he'd just wandered in, he'd block the middle lane.
It just looked like he was trying to get around the outside of the car in front.

Aye, that's what I was saying, good practise to proceed and not block any other lane, he didn't have to swing way wide though :)

I come through that roundabout often and exactly the same. If you don't you'll never enter the thing.

I presume that's only when you add a soundtrack to a video and not if you happen to have music on the radio/cd in the background? Would be very excessive if that was the case.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,857 ✭✭✭✭cormie

depends how clear it is, if you can shazam/soundhound it off the video, then Google can probably detect the music and it'll flag it if the record company has violated use of their music on the site :(

Dangerous maneuver leading up to roundabout (it's closer than the footage would suggest), approaches roundabout in wrong lane, enters cutting into left lane due to his excess speed, before going back into right lane, which is of course the wrong lane for his exit!

Which lane was he in before he undertook you?

Started off in my lane coming from well behind me, he drifted in to the left lane then. There was also at least one other car behind me so he wasn't directly behind me. Speed limit there is 80kph, I was doing at least 80kph before approaching the roundabout.

    That's just criminal driving.
But it seems like some Nordie drivers think they have diplomatic immunity in the republic since we can't apply penalty points to their licenses.

Hope that proposed law comes into effect sometime soon.
