I just enrolled for an evening course in creative writing cause I'm sick of going home in the evening and doing nothing. Dog died just before Xmas there so I've no motivation to go for a walk or anything so most evenings, cook dinner, watch telly, bed. It gets very boring and quite isolated if you live alone.

Best of luck with the course, sorry to hear about the dog

Thanks a million, very lonesome without him. The course is on a Monday night so I'm glad about that because I usually have energy on a Monday.

    Come Thursday night I'm knackered!

Go to college 2 nights a week. Gym 1 night a week and study 2-3 nights. It's exhausting but part of my routine now. I'd feel guilty if I didn't do something after work.

I don't usually get home until after 6 and depending on the day, if herself is working, I spend the next few hours cooking for the kids and cleaning so herself can relax when she gets in, or if she's off, I'll try and get to training. Either way, that keeps me occupied till about 9 which then leads to either gaming if I can get the TV or working on some side projects (not the bed kind :D) till about 12. Usually in bed between 12-1 and then up to do the same again the next day.

Still feel like I'm not doing enough though. Is there no one else like me who seems to spend hours cleaning in the evenings?!

Get home from work, play with kids, make dinner, eat dinner, clean/chores/DIY, get kids to bed, play football/run/cycle, TV, bed, slither.io, sleep.

Alot of it depends on when I get home from work and if the missus has any clients she has to visit or see at home (not a hooker :) )

When it wasn't so cold I'd go walking/Pokemon hunting for a while after work a couple of evenings a week.
    Pub quiz every second Tuesday.
Online coding course a couple of evenings.
Call to my friends' place once a week for dinner.
    Sometimes I go to gigs.
Rest of the time I get home, cook dinner and watch telly for the evening or skype my parents.

I'm a filthy third world immigrant, married to another filthy third world immigrant. So, basically, after work I spend my time bringing down all the achievements of western civilization and sharply increasing the crime rates in my area by playing guitar until I pass out from exhaustion. Sometimes I run out of steam after 1 hour, sometimes after 6 hours. And I use headphones so my neighbors don't learn about my evil third world scum riffs. I don't do this in an effort not to annoy them, I just don't want them to learn my sweet licks.

Found myself in a rut of wasting all my evenings eating crap and on the internet the passed couple of years. Resulted in major lethargy and misery.

NY resolution has been to get busy livin or get busy dyin. Spend three nights a week training for a half marathon at the end of the year now. Also take a French class once a week and then try to spend rest of the time catching up with family and friends over whatsapp or doing a bit of work prep or cleaning.

Hard to break out of the old routine, old habits die hard as they say. Some days I just want to veg out and ignore the world and sometimes I do. Have found getting busy a huge mood booster though

Watch tv, have dinner watch tv for what ever many hours until I feel like going bed (while browsing the net usually) would be most evenings. Sometimes would have a quick swim after work and there is often a midweek visit to the pub also.

Get home round 9 if I've gone to the gym, 8 if not. Eat food. Work on a side project for an hour (music production), read til I fall asleep. Occasional midweek pints.

Saving to go travelling so I can not have most of my time spent in an office and getting to and from said office, and do the music thing full time for a year

Often spend the time reading, playing guitar, on the web, going for a jog, and hanging with my housemates.

I try to go to a midweek gig, open mic, or comedy show at least once a month, and I'd play 5 a side most weeks as well. So while my job can be intense at times, I feel fairly relaxed about it overall.

I'm lucky enough to be living with two really good friends that I've know for years as well, so even just talking to them on the weekdays helps break up the potential for being stuck in a monotonous routine.

Cooking and eating dins, reading, watching prerecorded TV (never really watch scheduled programming or channel surf anymore) while sometimes simultaneously browsing the net, or might watch a film, preparing lunches for the next day, daydreaming about chocolate and sweets and crisps, sometimes eating chocolate and sweets and crisps, Whatsapping friends. Oh and having sex with the Huz of course. :P

At the moment once I'm home I'm in for the night with the family. Its too cold and dark to be doing anything else. When it gets brighter we will go for walks, bike rides, etc. Do a lot of reading and studying, chatting to family and friends.

Last thing I can remember is going on the computer and then it's all a blur.

I read mostly. At the minute I have my favourite man Harry Hole for company. I'll change to some news sites after that. Reuters and the Guardian with some RT for em balance :p Then my favourite topic of the moment gets a good google, Jung's Shadow self.

Inbetween that there will be boards time and chatting on the phone maybe but that's not often. Cup a soup at 10 ish with a slice of bread. A bit of writing. A bit of thinking and imagining. I stick spotify on, lie down and let the old mind drift in whatever direction it wants to go.

    Tis good :)

There's a distinct lack of shagging going on... Or is "doing a project" some new hip young slang for shagging?

I wish I could smoke weed, I like it but my head is absolutely f*cked the next day, almost as bad as drink. Doesn't agree with me any more :(

I walk out of work a lot of the time just completely lethargic and worn out. For a couple of years I'd get home and just vegetate until I got tired and then went to sleep.

Made some positive changes a few years ago starting with walking the dog every evening, regardless of the weather.

I eventually bought myself a project car which was something I had been meaning to do for years as I've always had the interest in cars.

From that I learned to do all sorts of jobs on cars I never would have attempted and have also learned to weld. I now have loads of projects, the project car being one that is progressing slowly but surely. I've also built a wood stove and have amassed a lot of tools and equipment. Have made likeminded friends too through all the cold night spent down in a garage tinkering and bodging stuff together.

I joined the gym in the middle of all that and now find I don't have much time to literally just sit and watch tv :P

I wouldn't go back to being how I was though, it was bad for my head.

I injured my hand badly about a month ago and haven't been able to do any of my garage/project work as a result. I've been reading and dabbling in photography to keep me somewhat busy but hopefully can get back to life in the garage soon!

I still walk out of work lethargic however and feel like my day only starts at 5pm.
