Meh, Hillary was able to take money from the Arabs during her term as secretary of state and nothing happened, why should it now?

Worst case scenario a few Trump banners get taken down from some buildings.

Can you even attack the office of the president like this ?

    Here's a photo of Trump's inauguration

    main_1500.jpg

Here's the photo being spread over twitter from places like Vox and other left wing sites

That's a common camera trick, Hank. It's commonly used to reduce budget costs in movies with lower budgets by adopting a lower angle. Posted it earlier.

Not really. Here is the photo comparison of Trump's inauguration compared to Obama's, and below is a screenshot of the crowd at it's peak (right before dispersing, so would likely be during Trump's time on stage). They're pretty much identical.

The angle from the podium makes the crowd look bigger because the lower angle blocks out the blank spaces, it's a technique used in lower budget movies that need scenes with big crowds.

    The timelapse:

Not disagreeing with you, but in general terms the attendance was well above average compared to previous inaugurations, Obama's first was record breaking and rightly so. Is there any official figures out there yet? I've been looking but can't find any.

Wow. I wouldn't be surprised if he resigns in the near future if the madness we've seen since inauguration day becomes the norm.

Not liking the old democracy are they. Brexit MK2. Did the founding fathers think of this when they wrote the constitution ? It's a sacred text.

I would counter that they are protecting Democracy and the Office of the President exactly as the founding fathers of the US planned :D
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

Spencer was adamant that it was the biggest crowd at an inauguration, period.

You can do, But I'm asking from the sacred document. Did the founding farther stipulate their legal opinion. Using the constitution as the base of their argument may well be massively flawed.

An opinion is lying ? Did he present falsified data ?

Spicer is a paid stooge. I don't like him

Typo right? We're talking about Spicer

He is a paid stooge who said that he wouldn't lie and would quit if he did !!! LOL now lets see if he will keep his word (Given the character of the people surrounding him in the WH I think the answer is a big no!). As I said for the non American this is first class comedy of the farce variety :D

They should include piped in canned laughter over the top of his press conference on Monday :)

Interesting piece about him on Sky where he was interviewed last year and stated that he would never lie as a Press Secretary. That pledge lasted one day, But maybe it was an isolated one-off slip never to be repeated and we can trust everything he says in the future.

What did he lie about not been watching the TV today. Am I missing something or was it the opinion on the size of the crowd.

Who knows but it would open up the possibility of more lawsuits against previous administrations given what we know now. Unless everyone is held in the same regard suits attacking people receiving foreign money will never be taken seriously imo, which is a bad thing for everyone.

Apparently (rough figure,s going off memory as it's late and I'm preoccupied watching NFL), Obama was 1.8mn in 2009, around 1.3mn in 2013, Clinton was 1mn in 1993 (no clue in 1997), Bush Jnr was around 300,000, not a clue otherwise. Trump estimates since it's only two days back seem to be varying from around 500k-900k I think.

No different than the lies told by previous press officers although they may have been more subtle, that's what he's paid to do. Only difference now is much higher scrutiny because of the war between Trump and the media. This storyline would be much different without those Wikileak releases.

No, stating something that clearly is not true is lying. Unless you're claiming Trump's press secretary would not have seen the clearly obvious picture (the below is taken from the peak of Trump's audience)?

He lied. He lied about the crowd size and he lied that it was the biggest inauguration TV audience ever. Ronnie R had the biggest TV audience ever. in the course of the first few minutes of that press briefing on his first day he destroyed his credibility and today we have his co-team member come out with the classic line of "Alternative Truth". I wouldn't blame the poor sod if he pulled a sicky tomorrow :)

I mean you could potentially then go on and then attack administrations over stuff like selling arms to places like Saudi.

What Data did he present ? That's just an opinion. Like Enda and the Army. Seems a very very high standard.

Well he forgot the first rule of "Alternative Truth", don't make it obvious that you are lying. The only other thing we needed was his nose growing at the same time! LOL this is priceless.

Ah the Wikileaks of those Russian hacks ;) Yep you are so right the Russians did help to elect the Orange one.

Oh I do agree with you, I am absolutely positive that the Press Secretaries of numerous other admins, if not all have lied as well but lets be honest I don't recall one as blatantly obvious as Saturdays.

Jesus It could open a can of worms on Barry and his closing of Guantánamo. Did he not promise to shut that down. Is it only OK when your guy does it ?
