I was fascinated by the inauguration. It was my first time to watch one and I was especially interested given the major players involved. There were a few noteworthy interactions I thought.

Bill and Hillary walking through the corridor on their way to where the ceremony would take place. She was really struggling with herself, concentrating on keeping it all together. Inside I can only image the anger, frustration, and sadness. Bill walking beside her but the two of them might as well have been strangers to each other. Completely distant. At one point he held her hand and gave it a little squeeze but she pulled away. Anger on his face and also may be a kind of "typical should have known what to expect". Then they reach the end and smiles. Actors immediately able to turn it on.

Another observation was when Melania gave Michelle a gift of what looked like a Tiffany box. Of course I haven't a clue what sort of dynamic exists there but Michelle could have appeared more gracious. Instead a glance to the camera betrayed something like "what the ****" or "as of I'd wear this stuff".

Melania looked amazing but damn where was her personality. There was something so robotic about her. Perhaps she was overwhelmed and in an effort to appear dignified came across a bit wooden.

Barack is an absolute showman. He seems like a very nice man but the important word there is "seems". Donald may not be to everyone's liking but I believe he is real. There is no act. He may not be Mr chivalrous or politically correct but he's his own man. I hope so anyway because for the first time in a long time there is president of the United States who has the potential to shake the world, fingers crossed it's for the good.

How is calling out the organizer of these Marches being pro Sharia Law deflecting?

I'm all for peaceful protests but the hypocrisy in this one is blowing my mind.

Now, Hank, do you think that, perhaps, she was being a bit sarcastic? It is a tweet, I think it'd rile up the "Sharia is taking over the US" crowd like your Gateway Pundit hero

No everyone who took part in marches is now pro Sharia.
Meanwhile the president retreats Nazis, but don't point that out or his supporters will accuse you of calling them Nazis.

It is very odd that you happen to bring this up around the same time as alternate facts. Have you stopped caring about the Trump presidency?

    'I believe'...

That is the essence of Trump's victory... sensation over reality. How he makes people feel, rather than the things he actually says or does. It is stunning.

You do realise that people can be both Muslim and American? if you are Muslim, and you observe the hijab, you might also choose to use it to make a political statement.

No, alternate facts = Lies and you're right to call him out on it.

huh, will any Trump supporters be doing the same or are they too bust reading brietbart? We warned you this would happen.

    Do you support Sharia Law?

If you asked her if a thieve should have their hand cut off she would say of course.
If you asked her if a married woman got raped should that women be now stoned to death, she would say of course.

I don't think anyone here does, but really the issue at hand here is Donald Trump and his cabinet lying to the world in the face of every piece of available evidence....

    How is that relevant?

Thanks for the warning. The alternate Universe in which we exist under Trump is a lot less scary to me than what might have happened. That said he should be called out if he's purposely spreading falsehoods.

I think Obama is a master at playing on emotions. What does that image portray? Walking ahead of his wife? Like I said his way may not be to everyone's liking but perhaps it's not fake.

I'll admit I cringed at that video.

However, it's not all that bad. Anyone who thinks 'OMG THOSE DAMN MUSLIMS ARE RECRUITING AMERICANS!!!' needs to take a little time off the internet.

Only one problem for you with this spin: he's not campaigning anymore. And now his thin skinned idiocy is dangerous.

The most effective thing was done: exposing his lunacy and the weurd parallel universe his staff inhabit. It's alternative.

Donald Trump literally lies all of the time. He has been on both sides of virtually every issue, often multiple times in the same sentence. But you believe what you want.
You are the one who began by pop psychoanalyzing the footage of the Clintons.

The main problem with Permabear's spin is that Trump actually does care about his persona and being loved. If he didn't why does he go straight to twitter raging about people criticising him as soon as he gets up in the morning.

But his internet-supporters are too deluded to even see this basic human behaviour cause he's Donald 'Can't Stump the Trump' Trump in their brainwashed minds.

Sharia Law is religious based lunacy. Just like the religious lunacy that underpins creationism and the Christian views on sexuality and sin etc.

I agree that the centre ground must be reclaimed from Trump and Bannon; I agree it must be preserved from Sharia and the subjugation of women in Islam; I don't think you'll agree that the centre ground must also exclude Christian and Jewish beliefs.

As other posters have noted, sharia isn't the issue much as the deflectors might wish. Lies and being caught and trying to bluster past the lie is the problem.

It's funny that World Leaders , women in particular will bow to Trump.
May for example will go over there and present her pussy on a plater to him.

I find it funny how the protests were deemed irrelevant and not worth talking about until someone dug up a bad thing about people involved with them.

And this is coming from the side with neo-nazis

Just heard on the news about trump's "alternative facts".
Added to that the RTE correspondent referring to countries who have a similar stand against the press killing journalists
How long before someone takes trump out? Will Madonna be the One?
