As usual serious difference between sterling prices and euro. Seen one item was 70+ euro and along side it it had 50sterling.

Is it a case of they have managed to clear the majority of stock so they might not need to reduce further

Boots in Cork said they delayed the sale.

Boots in Blanch was still only at half price last night at 7pm - thought I'd missed the 70% tbh and bought myself a nice scented candle at 50% off. Will check St. Stephen's Green later.

I mailed them. This was their reply.

    Thank you for contacting Boots.

I have had a look into it and at present there has been no confirmation of a date for the 70% of sale. I do apologise for the inconvenience.

I was in there today. The staff member said that it will be announced on Boots' facebook page. The staff only have 24 hours notice of upcoming sales.

I wonder are they going to have it on a Saturday instead? Saturdays are still the busiest day of the week for instore retail sales so this would maybe be a better day to launch the sale and get it all cleared out over the weekend. Do the stores still have a lot of stock left - there was a bit left in Boots Athlone last Sunday evening when I popped in.

I was in Liffey valley yesterday & there was hardly anything good left anyway!

No it's usually just the Christmas gift sets which have been left over.

Don't think any of it was ever full price anyway.

How did people get on? I'm just back from the Waterford store. There was a que of about 25 people before opening, but there was plenty of stock available. People were well prepared with their own big plastic bags. I must remember this for next year. I picked up some lovely bits as presents. Delighted. What were other stores like?

The discount they are giving is 70%, not 75%.
