For all of us who love the Boots 75% off Sale!

Judging from UK website its happening online on 14th January 2015.

This would seem about right as last year, the online sale happened on 15th January

I can't post the link as it says I'm a new user :(

Wonder if there'll be much left. Was amazed at how little was left in store in blanchardstown last week compared to previous years.

Was never at one, but is everything included in the sale?

Not really a few bits and pieces, none of the Yankee candles or anything are reduced even now at 50%

Thanks, i was actually in there today, but no mention, whether the assistant can mention if there's an oncoming promo, but i had mentioned there was one in another store, but said nothing, unless they've no idea?

I've no idea at all. Sure we will see if it happens on the 14th. There doesn't seem to be much left anyway.

I took a look in Liffey Valley yesterday, doesn't really look as if the 70% sale will be worth bothering with - shame as in previous years I got a good haul!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 83 ✭✭Claire222

I was in boots today and asked when the 70% sale will be and the sales assistant said the end of Jan.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33 maireadley

I was in Jervis today and still a lot of stock left at 50%. Lots of Food Nation stuff and soap and glory sets

Same in Liffey Valley. Was actually very busy. Gave up queuing at checkouts and left my purchases behind. Will pick them up in town during the week.

Will have to cancel going to the sales according to weather report here

I wouldn't go by anything the sales/counter/floor staff, they never know when its on, only the management, the floor/counter/sales staff are only notified the morning they arrive at work. I know because my friend works there and I know when its on more accurately than she does by following forums.

Only stuff that has the "green present sticker" on it, i.e. the 3 for 2 gifts they have on sale before Xmas, nothing else. This will be my 4th year going to it, cant wait!

Yes, but the Irish site has the same stock as the UK one so it can be very difficult to get what you want and often the site crashes. (going by reports on HUKD)

if the online sale is on the 14th does that mean that it is also on instore on the same day
    thanks

Have my eye on a few items. So will be interested to see if this sale kicks off on the 14th. I have got a few bargains in there on previous years post christmas.

Interested to know this too. Last years thread says it was both online and instore at the same time with many complaining that their website wasn't working the best due to overload and some of the smaller Boots stores having some decent bargains but the large city based stores getting cleared out in no time by people with trollies

Was just in boots and staff member confirmed 70% sale is from tomorrow, she said its definitely 70% this year as opposed to 75% in previous years.

Thanks for the information. Does anyone know what time it will start? Will it be after 12 tonight? There's something I really want but can't afford to be buying it, even at 50% off! Would love to get it...

Am off sick at the mo from work - and I'll so miss this!! I went to this sale the last two years in the Jervis centre, and if you can get in there before lunch time you should find some bits. Usually what's left is make up sets (like eye shadow kits and nail varnish kits, great for teenagers as the colours can be a bit much), slipper socks, and some food things too. I remember getting little stocking filler things too, like a vanity mirror (handbag size).
Be prepared to look. This is, after all, the end of their sale and stuff may be a bit damaged, or missing bits.
    Enjoy!!

Is anyone else sick of looking at that little girl on the Boots.ie holding page!! Everytime I refresh and she pops up I grrrrrrr.

Just looked on Twitter and I see a few people saying that the website usually goes live at 3/4am so I don't think I'll stay up. Maybe just wake up early in the morning.

Was in Jervis for 8:40, pretty busy I have to say. People going around with trolleys full of stuff. When I left about 20mins later there was still a good bit on the shelves, David Becham smelly sets, Ted Baker makeup, nail varnish, French Connection etc etc. I wouldnt expect much to be left by midday to be honest

Well, how did everyone get on?

I got some terrific stuff, heavy snowfall in Cork overnight meant there was a very small crowd in the Cork City Half Moon Street Store, I was in my element, could browse to my hearts content, no grabbing or pushing like last year :)

Yes that happened me too, dont know how everything went that fast though, I woke up every hour on the hour and the site was still down at 5am, woke up at 5:45am and everything was sold out. I went into the store this morning got most everything in my cart except for the thing I wanted most. Oh well!
