Why do people with dogs think everyone else should love dogs..

On a packed bus and some pr1ck with his mutt letting the dog sit up on the seat. After flipping he looked at me like i insulted his mother..

Could you not have asked him to get the dog off the seat without flipping?

Wait, so you have a seat, the other person has a seat, and you're at him about the dog? Why?

And you do realise that if it's allowed on the bus it's probably a guide dog?

Fair enough and true. I always loved my dogs but I never expected anybody else to feel that way about them. Indeed, I can fully understand that many people don't like dogs or are afraid of them.

No, it's at the discretion of the driver presuming it was Dublin bus, not sure about other company policys though. And a guide dog would know not to get on a seat I'd say.

I never seen the appeal of a dog.... picking up the mess when walking it would be too much of a reason not to have one.

Just yesterday I was walking behind a woman when her dog decided to make its business on the door step of a Chinese take-away.... she picked it up, but I think she should have done something to prevent the location choice.

Special mention for people that let their large dogs sprint over toward you and your kids when you're out walking before eventually getting over to tell you they're harmless.

Guide dogs are always allowed on public transport, but it is at the drivers discretion whether a pet dog will be let on. Some bus drivers will allow it and others will never allow a pet on a bus. It's basically up to the driver.

I don't like the idea of dogs on the seat on public transport, but I don't think I've ever witnessed it, even guide dogs. (Actually, maybe I have seen a guide dog on the train, but not on a bus.)

Maybe that dog owner decided to put the dog on the seat beside him/her so it wouldn't block the isle.

I don't have a problem with dogs on public transport, but I do with them sitting on a seat and rubbing their hole on it.

In all probability the dog is probably cleaner and smells nicer than most people on public transport.

I agree, the seats are not for dogs in regards to hygiene, but I could say that about some certain people as well.

I love animals. I grew up in a house full of them but some people are just weird about them.

I remember reading years ago that something like 30 or 40 percent of pet owners would rescue their pet rather than a strangers baby if a building was on fire. I just can't get my head around rescuing a dog or cat over a human baby.
