Wondering did anyone else do this? I'm currently in Ireland and won't to transfer money from my Canadian scotiabank acc to AIB! I have never transferred from Canada to Ireland before and have been in touch with a representative of scotiabank and they said I can transfer $1000 a day through western union and said I would have to go to my branch in Canada to do an amount over this! I'm sure there is a way I can transfer let's say $20000 in one go! Has anyone else done this cheers!

Go talk to your branch about doing a SWIFT international transfer. You might find a transfer service or money broker who can get you a better rate but stay away from Western Union.
