    Thinking of buying some Grohe taps online from Germany, as they are crazy prices here.

    I wonder if they will have the same fittings as the British/Irish standard?

    Also, I am looking at Grohe taps that are specifically marketed as "low pressure". Our house does not have any pumps (Other than one pump for a mixer shower, which we are having our plumber install).
    I assume that the "low Pressure" taps might be best?
    Thanks!

    I bought a kitchen sink made in Germany and the size didnt match it,plumber had to improvise.

    I will advise you to go with "high pressure" as maybe,at some point,you will need to fit a pump.The low pressure taps wil squeak and make noise that will drive you out of the house.

    Tks. Was it a simple adaptor was required to change diameter of pipes or a bigger mod involving a lot of work?

    I would imagine if you can get low pressure taps then I would get them. As here in Ireland they sell taps by the way low pressure and let's say from a plumbers point of view they ain't low pressure. It will be easy to get adaptors if they are needed. They are a very god quality tap

    For upstairs you need low pressure taps for Ireland unless you plan on putting a pump on the system. You'll be very disappointed with the pressure from a high pressure tap put on a low pressure system. Low pressure taps are designed for low pressure systems

    Correct,thanks !
    Low pressure systems = low pressure taps
    High pressure => highpressure taps.

    Myself,i had to replace all of them when i got the pump installed.
    Even is the pump is VFD , it still made a lots of noise every time tap was open.

    Rgds

    the only real problem i have seen with taps from Europe has been down to the the low pressure/high pressure rating.
    unless you have all your water (hot and cold) pumped you need low pressure taps.
    from a fitting point of view you are probably going to run into the 15mm metric and 1/2" irish issue but adapters/fittings are available for this
