Daniel O Muck. Absolute bilge. How anyone can listen to this sh1te is beyond me. The mammy and cups of tea, such horsesh1t.

Hits every note correctly, but as much emotion in his voice as corpse. Every single song the exact same as the one before it

I thought he nailed a truly touching moment with this one.

    Tommy "shaky voice" Fleming
(can't think of the technical singing word for shaky voice!)

    Sh1te in his case.
His sister is actually quite good. I have come across her a few times in my Sligo local.

Tried to play this. Error occurred, probably quite lucky.

anyone with the balls or talent or plain indifference that can make a living out of getting up in front of people to 'sing' for a living, deserves respect imo, no matter how crap they seem :)

Dolores O'Riordan, good god the Limerick accent is bad enough without having to sing in it

"in your heaadd in your heaadd zombie zombie"

Pretty much all of them bar R. Gallagher (great singer/musician) and Enya.

They're probably not as bad as all that but there are some seriously pissed off boardsies here! I think I still have PTSD after Christy H.

    Howzier, the guy from Wicklow.

One hit wonder. Didn't like the sentiments to that 'hit' he had.

Hozier is far from a "one hit wonder". You obviously don't know much about his music to criticize him by calling him so.

Bressie, who was the lead singer of a mediocre band and bit of an overall arsehole who was on voice of Ireland judging people who were probably more talented than him.

He has a good voice - i'm interested to see how his career goes though.

    :P

You knock me, if you're so mighty, why waste your time with me
If I'm bad, ignorant and sad
Why waste your time, you're mad
You're just mad, because your life is sad
    You've done nothing worth while
    Twist the knife
    Because you hate your life
My life you want to spoil
    I'm never going to let
    Your negative vibes and comments
Get through to my psyche and cripple me

First person that mentions Christy Moore gets a ban.

    I like a challenge, so I do. :D

Christy Moore - I could forgive all the other crap* if someone could just gag him and stop him singing, or at least shuts up that approximation of singing that he gets away with.

    * Terms & conditions apply. Offer does not include Damien Dempsey.

Not sure how fit she was but I think it was his daughter...remember the time he let out a string of curses on telly (the Rose of Tralee interval):D ...RTE nearly had to close down such was the level of outrage from viewers
Dunno that Nathan Carter is Irish,is he??

He's from Liverpool and should have a wagon wheel shoved up his hole.

The rapper girl from tallagh or somewhere similar that was on that reality show last year with the hooker and the model throwing down her sik beatz ,utterly horrendous , heard her on the radio a while back and I just felt sorry for the poor girl

Also , luke Kelly , a couple of nice renditions but absolutely brutalised a lot of songs , never got the appeal , barney mckenna was a much better all rounder imo but never seems to get the praise the rest of the beardie brigade get

    Vibrato.

Most of us are brought up listening to 'American' music and when we hear Irish singers singing in a Dublin accent or a Kildare accent, it sounds contrary to what we've been conditioned to hearing and so sounds slightly off to our ears. It's not really though. An accent doesn't make someone a bad singer, bad singing does that.

Also anyone who says Christy Dignam is an overrated singer needs to hire a Catepillar D9 and clean the wax out of their ears.

read title as "overweight singers" and thought "this will go down well" and also googled "is Adele still fat?"

been reading too many After Hours threads.

    Imelda May.
Find her very hard to listen to.
Same goes for Ronan Keating. Not sure if you could call him overrated though

So many to chose from but I'll go for Damien 'de famine' Dempsey.

Might not have the worst voice but he tops the charts when it comes to countless other negatives.

Not a fan of her rockabilly stuff but this performance was stunning. She has a great voice.

I can only assume that Bono hasn't been mentioned as it's just generally accepted that he's shíte.
