I was on the hill of Tara today, Went to take photos of area with my phone, When I went to press button to take photo the phone shut completely down. completely. thought nothing of it really, started it back up tried again, same thing happened, tried again same thing happened, It had battery, it had signal, walked back to car park and tried again, No problems. I have witnesses :eek::cool:

Having just read your post about being on the hill of tara and your phone knocking off, something similar happened me a few years ago, only around the mound of the hostages though, camera wouldn't take pics, walked down to the car and then start working again, went back to get the pic and it stopped working again at the same place, back at the car worked fine again, strange, I was there by myself so no witnesses and never really mentioned it till after reading your post.

Odd that there's two of you. Probably just co-incidence, but looking it up, there are large deposits of iron and zinc in the area. Maybe some interference somehow?

Avebury. Decades ago. 35mm SLR. Bunch of friends and I took a load of shots of eachother there.

That part of the film contained nothing, when we had it developed.

I can't see mineral deposits effecting a mechanical camera in such a way. Or Kodak film.

    Spooky as all hell though.

The camera thing happened on my camera phone. It didn't shut down, there was a black smear over most of the screen, or totally black screen, can't remember exactly. I took the pic at my friend's house-where there'd been a murder ten years prior. We went into town and I took loads of other pictures in town and they all came out perfect, all from the same day.

The worst thing I came across that was creepy or unnerving was a person I met who believed in ghosts and was convinced lots of ghosts were living with this person. This person also employed someone and paid them 1000 to get 'rid' of the ghosts.

It's creepy that there are people out there who would take the money.

Another story my mother told me, happend in about 1974 when my mum and dad were living in london. My sister was a baby and me and brother wernt born . Anyway one day my mother was sick with flu or something and sent my dad to the shop to get supplies for the baby nappies e.t.c . While my dad was out she fell asleep on the settee, kind of dozing in and out of sleep, then she dreamt she saw my dad stood at a zebra crossing waiting to cross the road, she saw a big lorry speeding towards the zebra crossing and my dad was about to step out into the path of the lorry. In the dream she shouted my dads name and said " peter wait dont cross that road!!!! ". anyway she woke up from the dream. short time later my dad arrived home and said to my mum "jesus i had a lucky escape up at the zebra crossing nearly walked out in front of lorry, only i heard your voice call me and something touched my shoulder and distracted me, but the other guy stood next to me stepped out and got killed by the lorry!!!

When I was in college I struggled a lot with a particular module. There was so much to cover for the exam that I just couldn't study each topic in the detail that was necessary. On the exam only 3 out of about 12 topics were coming up. I was really stressed over it and ended up crying a few times in the days leading up to this exam. The night before my last day of studying I was desperate and just said could the universe give me any indication of what topics are coming up so I could focus on them. That night I had a dream it was New Years 2009. It was an odd dream to have(this was May 2014). The next day I decided to take that as my sign and had a look at the past paper from 2009. I wasn't brave enough to just focus on those topics, but did put a lot of time in to them.

The paper I received on the day of the exam was almost an exact copy of the 2009 one. The exact same 3 topics. 2 of them had the same questions as the 2009 paper and the 3rd was the same topic but slightly different questions.
We had past papers going back years and there was never a repetition like this before. There was also no pattern as to what topics came up.

I was in the kitchen with my mam during Christmas. We were talking about cars with 131 on their number plates and I said I wouldn't like 131 on my car. My mams house number when she was growing up was 13 too. She told me that years ago her cousin showed a photo of my mams old house to a supposed physic lady. The physic lady told her that there was an evil spirit in the house and the evil would follow the family and all further generations unless the family all attended a mass that should be said in the house. The mass was never held. This was the first I ever heard about this. Can you imagine the worry this supposed physic lady could have caused if anyone had believed her.

I've mentioned it before on boards, but many years ago when I was 21, I had a stalker. Not an ex or a weird colleague, but an actual stranger who was obsessed with me & convinced himself we were in a relationship.

The climax of this story is that one night he broke into my apartment while drunk & put his hands all over me but I was able to get him out without it escalating into something worse.

But the lead-up to that involved a few incidents that, looking back on, were definitely creepy (I also got letters from him afterwards that confirmed the below, which are a whole different level of creepy).

I had a gate near my front door that led to a back alleyway behind my apartment. I would always lock the gate & I always had to keep locking it because it would be unlocked many mornings. There was no reason to go back there - it was just my apartment on one side (with windows into my living room & bedroom) and a fence on the other.

One night I had a male friend from school spend the night. There was a bad storm that night. In the morning, he told me someone had been knocking on my door in the middle of the night. I told him the fence had probably unlocked (because I believed it did that!) and was banging against itself. Because who would be knocking on my front door in the middle of a storm? But he insisted it had been someone knocking.

But the creepiest thing happened 2 weeks before the guy broke in. It was a Saturday and I had just gotten out of the shower. Someone knocked on my door, and I answered. It was a man & he said the landlord had sent him to fix my dishwasher. I was confused because I hadn't contacted the landlord and my dishwasher was working just fine. I told him that and he said, "oh I meant your clothes washer." But that was working fine too. I told him all of my appliances were working correctly. He asked if he could come in anyway to have a look. I said no and shut the door.

I saw this man once more, two weeks later when he broke into my apartment. To this day, I still don't know who he was.

You know, I do have the right to purchase a firearm, but I never have, not even after this incident.

Was the physic lady Marie Curie?

I never saw him again, and I moved to a different state a few months later. I had a forwarding address put on my mail and I received a letter from him within about a month of moving. The contents of the letter made it clear he'd been watching me up until I left. After that I never heard from him again.

I take it you informed the police. You seem to be very calm regarding this. This is real world creepy as opposed to bogey man creepy.

Yes, of course I contacted the police, but without a name and because I hadn't been physically hurt, there wasn't much they could do. This happened about 14 years ago, so I am pretty calm about it right now. I wasn't then.

I was 19 in uni - my friends lived about a half mile down from my apartment on a straight road including a bit of a walk through an apartment complex.

We were all drinking at my friends place and it was late, maybe 4am and i decided to go home. I was a bit drunk but not very bad. My friends were worse for wear and didnt offer to walk me home (im female). I didnt mind and set off.

I left their apartment complex and walked up the length of road (no houses) in the direction of my apartment when this car drove up the road beside me, there were no other cars on the road.

I was freaked out and started walking quicker as the other apartment complex i needed to go through was coming up. The car got closer and i quickened my pace and got to the apartment complex. The passenger window of the car rolled down and there were two men in the car and they started calling me over.

I started pressing all the buzzers on the apartment (not my apartment complex)door and shouted back to the men to "f off and i live here". I heard the car door open and THANKFULLY someone in the apartment building opened the door with the buzzer in their apartment and i was able to get in and close the door behind me. A sensor light went on in the hall and i saw the car drive off.

There were a good few students living in that complex too so i can only assume someone was expecting someone to be coming home late and thats why i was let in.

I waited about 20 mins in the hallway then went out and ran the rest of the way to my place.

One night last week my wife was working so I stayed awake a little later, reading in bed. I had a book from the library by an Icelandic author, Yrsa Sigurdardottir, a book I'd thought was a detective story but has what could turn out to be a large supernatural element. It centres around a yacht crashing into port, the crew and family including two young girls disappeared. I finished reading at a really creepy part -- a crackling voice on a radio, a bump in the night -- and went to replace my bookmark, hoping I'd get to sleep quickly, when I noticed what I presume, and hope, was the bookmark of the person who'd borrowed it last.

A strip of photobooth pictures of two young girls, about the same age as the girls in the story. I just went shiiiiiiiit and pulled the duvet around me. Thank God I did get to sleep pretty quickly after. I showed it to the wife the next day. She went to put the photos in the bin but I couldn't do that -- it'd be tempting fate or something. They'll be going back with the book so the next person can share the experience!

A woman or vulnerable person could not take that chance particularly at that time of night.......

On the other hand they could have been warning her not to go in to that very dangerous building......

To the people who were stalked for 2+ years. Can I ask why you kept the situation to develop, rather then do something about it?
