He breaks people mentally.

His scoring and finishing is relentless.
It's so rare he doesn't hit one treble or you get an easy leg.

You need to be at your very best every single leg.

Every time he hits the first treble of a combination out his opponent craps their pants.

The only leg he could win was after MvG missed about 6 darts at a double.
He folded very easily. He thought he'd fancy himself to go toe to toe a bit longer with MvG.
