Walkers are for Protestant's? Yep, guilt free crisps!

King shouldnt be in this conversation at all. O'Donnells are highly overrated, hunky dory's are just fine but its Tayto all the way.

King are far nicer than Tayto, but Walkers are better again.

The wife reckons Tayto's are an 'Irish thing', she says it goes back years to when there weren't any other brands around, so brain-washed into liking them.

Crisp sandwiches ..............the ultimate food crime!

Tayto crisps and Lucozade original..........the perfect combination! (I don't mean soaked together! )

What's the name of the company that uses Dubliner cheese, O Donnells?

Keoghs - great crisps. (Dubliner cheddar is the greatest cheese in the world!)

I'm not that bothered whether its King or Tayto - pretty much the same thing in my opinion.

Cant find em anymore but King Jackets were divine, used unpeeled spuds so had that lovely toasted potato skin on some of the crisps.

Walkers Baked are damn nice too, a bit chunkier than regular crisps but not as heavy since its not been fried.

Also hard to find anymore but Walkers Sensations Chicken & Herb were delish.

Also cant find em outside of catering bags but Perri C&O were lovely back in the day, one of the first to use foil packaging from what I remember.

King Jackets were good alright. I remember there was Perri Pan Fried Crisps (in a red packet) . Sweet baby Jesus and the orphans they were nice.

    Monster Munch!

Fantastic the day after a large feed of pints.

Hunky Dory > Tayto > King > Walkers

    oooohh...what happened to them?

Tayto. Their more savoury. Also just want to say pringles are tastier when you eat em upside down sideways it's true. Eat em both ways and taste the difference.

I envisage it is because they spend longer in your mouth/hence more time on your taste buds! Not that I have ever experimented! Bit crazy for me!

    King, more flavor in them.
    Tayto taste mostly bland.

In saying that I prefer hunky dories over all crisps

Put it this way, ever visited "King Park"?

I wasn't mad about the old King Park but the New King Park isn't too bad.

    King are nicer than Tayto.

However O'Donnells are the nicest most full of flavour crisps by a mile.

Sam Spudz salt n vinegar used to be very tasty, also the Monster Munch that was out years ago.

Outside of places like journal.ie, is there so much of a difference as to warrant an opinion?

Tayto and King are produced in the same factory. It's my understanding that the difference between them is down to the type of malrodrextin used and the granularity of the yeast powder.
