Construction noise in Earsfort court, Hatch street

    Hi,
    Can anyone advise on construction on Hatch street (Earlsfort court)?

    The construction noise is annoying from early morning during weekdays and on Saturday mornings. I contacted City council, but they seem to have permission for extended working times and the construction is going to continue through 2017.

    So unfair for apartments on the street!

    How do you think your apartment got built in the first place? Probably a fair bit of noise involved for other people at the time...

    It's usually specified in the planning permission what hours they are allowed to work.

    You can find it on the Dublin City Council website.

    8-6 weekdays normally
    9-1 on Saturdays
    No Sunday or bank holiday work.

    They can apply for a special works permit if a large concrete pour is taking place.

    Seems to be a glut of it in the area alright. If it helps at all, some of the construction is at the back of the eye and ear hospital for a much-needed unit. Its behind schedule so it might be that that has the extended permission.
