The US historian, Timothy Snyder, has written about how this media policy of incessant angry trolling has been used successfully by - you guessed it - Putin in order to expand his influence and direct European and world politics in a direction useful to him. The broad policy is to create confusion and disillusion amongst stable people and institutions, and to do what he can to destroy the idea of an objective reality, reducing everything instead to a post-modern series of conflicting views where the floor and the direction is owned by whoever shouts the loudest.

This video has Snyder discussing most of the details - go to about 20/25 minutes in to get to the current day and skip the (interesting) earlier history of Ukraine, how that's relevant to what's going on and specifically, how the Russian double-invasion of Ukraine since 2014 has been the test-bed for this destructive, dangerous policy.

The left has a really low bar when it comes to Trump. Anything he does which doesn't meet that low standard (the Hitler standard, so he just needs to not murder 6 million people)  he will be seen as amazing. Joe Scarborough mentions this frequently on his show in America.

    What are you talking about?

Are you happy that Trump has already gone back on his promises, the very promises that drove supporters to him.

Lock her Up - well not really.
Build a wall - well maybe some more patrols

So lets say he doesn't bring significant job back, is that ok too.

It seems that people are willing to pay any price to effect change, they just aren't too sure what that change is

Did you expect Trump to carry out everything he said. Not even Irish or British politicians do that. Trump isn't a Conservative, he doesn't believe in many things but he grinds the gears of the left, the world over which is fine by me.

So what do you expect him to do?  By your own words, you don't believe all that he says.

We already know he won't go after HC, so all that 'Lock her Up' chanting was a waste of time.

If thats true then I don't see why you are happy that he won.
I'm not American, he can do what he wants as far as I'm concerned. It isn't my country, the Yankees have been the world police for a long time, perhaps this might change under Trump if he gets on better with Putin than Obama did.

It must be great for you being told what to believe in all the time by an all knowing great leader. Takes all the decision making and having to read/ educate yourself away from you all the time you must have great peace :o

No, dear Pony, that's the far right. Not even the right, just the far-right.

Do try to keep up. It's only been going on for over a year.

Somewhere along the line there, a claim was made that all Universities are teaching Marxism or 'cultural Marxism'

    Can someone elaborate?

If Russia did hack the corrupt DNC and the corrupt American government, then good. It helped save America from Hillary. They should be praised for it. Best thing the 'reds' have done to America since meeting together on the Elbe river.
It is rather ironic how the left in America is now anti Russia/reds because little Hillary lost.

She offered the same old guff. The American people didn't want to do leftist politics this time, so she failed to win. She can carry on being an apologist for Islamist terrorism though.

I almost have to admire your persistence in being so utterly, stubbornly incorrect about so many things. I do suspect you don't entirely believe most of it, but it's -very nearly- admirable just how persistent you are with absolute bull****. The World According To Pony is a very strange place indeed.

Pony is just saying it like it is. Hillary is a terrorist.

Give me a break. If the Russians had that capability, and were as evil as they're being made to be, we'd have been ****ed long ago.

They are not anti-Reds, they are anti other countries taking over their elections. Any citizen of any country should be aghast at even the slightest evidence of that.

The fact that is resulted in the result that you, and others wanted, seems to have allowed people to simply forget about it. It is a staggeringly dangerous thing that the FBI and CIA as saying is possible to have happened.

The money Gobby got wasn't given in exchange for direct influence over foreign policy, given that he didn't have any.
When I see Trump directly influencing foreign policy towards Saudis favour I might believe the Saudis were paying him years ago to make their sickening human rights abuses "go away".

I don't know but I assume Israel helped him out to the tune of millions in the past, too?
Looks like theyll be glad they did!
Trump's campaign spent months whoring itself out to any and every politician and businessman it seemingly could find, offering "the chance to whisper in the President's ear" in exchange for money. The sheer number of far right politicians and business people he received money off for the express interest of influencing US policy is likely very, very high. Not to mention dictatorships like the Saudi's, a country where he set up no less than 8 business ventures on the campaign trail, what an odd coincidence.

It's a failure in your eyes, simple as that. The fact that you acknowledge he lied to you and others about it doesn't change that. And it'll be an even bigger failure and lie when reality kicks in that it's impossible to tell if someone is Muslim or not at airport security.

Don't let any of them in then. It's the only way.

"Low information voters" (to use the PC term) don't realise they're stupid, but are fully aware that admitting they were lied to and bought into it so wholely and unquestioningly despite all the warning signs, to them, would be an acknowledgement of their own stupidity. Hence the mental gymnastics on full display in recent weeks.

No point even entertaining it, since Trump has already said that was a lie to sucker "low information voters" (again, to use the PC term) and it worked a treat for him. Ebbsy & Little Pony consider Trump's immigration policies a failure, so there's not much point in discussing how to implement what they do want (like how exactly you ascertain if someone is a Muslim in the first place, if they choose not to tell you).

I think it's becoming pretty apparent why these two have spent the last several weeks doing whatever they can to avoid talking about policies and expectations from the Trump regime. :)

Letting people in willy nilly just results in incidents such as in France and Germany.

I had to laugh when all these Irish families opened their doors to the Syrians. How can you even vet these people ?

The states voted and Hillary lost. People will have to eventually come to terms with that...

It's not sports. He actually has to govern after jan20th and will face a lot of opposition.

See this is what I dislike about the most vocal of Trump's supporters, they wanted him to be president because of the fact he gave voice to their hatred. That is not a good thing.

Donald Trump actually believed in more of the things he said than Hillary. Hillary didn't have any policies except 'vote for me because I have a vagina'. [...] Hillary actually tried to cover it all up, the money from Saudi Arabia, while promoting women rights, unbelievable.
I trust you won't mind me pointing out that the DT media playbook requires each message to be declarative, not speculative; requires it to finish up with an insult of some kind, preferably without a verb; and requires that the final punctuation should be an exclamation mark.

You should have written that last sentence as:
Hillary covered up the money from Saudi Arabia when she pretended to promote women rights. Unbelievable!
The edited text is much snappier and hopefully, sticks longer in the seething cauldron which is the mind of an angry DT supporter.

    I hope this helps.
