    One of my friends at the time met a girl from MySpace back in the day and lost his virginity to her. IIRC she was 5 years older than him.
    He just got chatting to her, then over a short time (a week I think) the conversation then turned into sex talk, he admitted he was a virgin and then she was up for it.

    Within 10 minutes of meeting her he was already doing it (met at her place) Normally when I hear mates say things like this you go yeah right. But... Afterwards he showed me the profile and some of the messages. Guess he wanted to prove it wasn't bs. Lol.

    Louis CK has mentioned in interviews that he used to meet random girls off MySpace too. It must have have been like a "POF for big music fans" back then.

    Ah yes MSN. It started off innocent enough but was basically "hey, wanna swap bold pics?" towards the end.

    Never have, wish I had though. Always had my boards "crushes" over the years, I'd guess they're all married and/or babied up by now. 🙂

    There have been a few posters on boards that have caught my attention with a turn of phrase and bit of witty repartee...
    One even posted a few tasteful nudie pics!!
    But I've never even knowingly met a female boardsie let alone managed to spear one ;)

    I got married recently and I do slag off the wife that we are an internet love story :)
    As whilst we did know each other prior to hookin up,we hadnt spoken in a few years and a bit of flirting on facebook led to a marriage ;)

    To this day I still maintain Facebook is better for getting the ride than Tinder. You can show off so much more of yourself through Facebook than Tinder. Chatting is still the same.

    No Tinder. No POF etc allowed.

    I had women from Holland, Poland, Scotland, Ohio, W Virginia, Washington State and Hawaii sending me photos of themselves on a Yahoo! chatroom at the same time. I could easily have pressed for more revealing photos and got them but I don't want to be that kind of person. Part of me regrets not going further but part of me knows that I chose the right action.
    I don't find Irish women attractive enough to enter a relationship with and I've had more than my fill of them, so no, I don't want the ride from any of them tbh. That would have been about 5 years ago.

    And the Dutch woman was a model in her teenage years... and is still a sexy woman.

    Got the ride a few years back after initially asking a girl out over MS Lync in work. Went into do some work in her teams department and she was the assigned area expert. Things got pretty flirty somewhere in the middle of a few queries. Does be great for having a bit of banter with the right people.

    Went on Couchsurfing once looking to get to experience Rome through spending a weekend with somebody who lived there.

    Ended up seeing little of Rome in the end and a lot of the 'couch'.

    A mate of mine put me onto this old Facebook app a few years back where you described a buncha girls in one word, not dissimilar to Tinder, Hot or Not etc. Ended up meeting two girls off it. One was a catfish and funny story, the other was gorgeous, great craic and quite good in the leaba...but had a long-term boyfriend. I actually recently heard the pair of them on the radio doing a contest to win a wedding, I nearly **** the bed, the poor bloke had no clue what she was up to.

    Aside from that my online experience is all Tinder and POF based.

    For me it was IRC growing up where I met some girls with varying degrees of - relations - ensuing upon meeting them later in real life. irc.indigo irc.iol and then finally irc.phishy.net

    The longest relationship to come out of it though was 6 months.

    2 people I know who met off that got engaged the other day


    It lead to alot of teenagers sneaking in webcams to housed around the country at the time :pac:

    Add people with who you have a good few friends in common. Real life friends. Not "Facebook friends"

    Give them a poke.

    If they poke back drop them a line and take it from there.

    There's no poke function on the Facebook app on the last phone I had...

    But yes...I've heard of it happening onow FB....alright

    Just to add

    This was a great way of meeting people upto maybe two years ago.

    If you poked someone on Facebook now they'd likely unfriend you and then call the guards.
