    Hi guys,

    Question for those of you in the know!
    Had my car in for a service with the main dealer today as it was cheaper than the local indie.

    Long story short after conducting a full health check on the car, my rear bushes are knackered.

    The front ones are fine.
    Main dealer quoted €417 to replace them.

    What would an indie charge?

    NCT in 3 weeks time so need to get them sorted.

    Also an oil leak (not dripping) was discovered, I suspect this may be due to 2 leaking injectors I recently had repaired,they were blowing for ages and and the oil/residue is by the injectors that were leaking.


    Any advice appreciated.

    Send for test and see what it fails on.

    You say the front ones are grand IMO they wont be replacing them

    Yeah, does that price sound right? €200 all in for rear bushes only?

    If they are half the price of the maindealer they probably arent that far off

    Car passed NCT first time on January 21st.

    Today I spotted oil underneath the car.

    Popped the bonnet to see a leak coming from the top of the engine.

    Took off the plastic cover and it appears to be coming from around the injectors.

    Any advice as to the possible causes and the cost of curing it?
