Maybe the anti-Muslim brigade might hold off on the celebrations until the identity and motives of the perpetrator have been confirmed?

Previous trends don't give permission to deem it a Muslim migrant instantaneously. Read the second post on this thread as the perfect example of what I'm talking about.

Why not? It's using a pretty consistent trend to make a supposition.

By the way, if it is an Islamic terrorist attack, it may not even be a Muslim migrant but a second or third generation German born Muslim.
Maybe the anti-Muslim brigade might hold off on the celebrations until the identity and motives of the perpetrator have been confirmed?

And if it is a terrorist attack, maybe the Pro-Muslim brigade will start asking hard questions of European migration policies and also start asking
questions about Fundamentalist Islamic teachings that proliferate around Europe.

No it wasn't, poster is talking about the bin lorry that went into a crowd when the driver took ill.

What a shocking comment. Seriously uncalled for.

Yes, some people seem almost happy when these attacks occur.

Hopefully something like the Glasgow incident where a truck plowed through people - which was not terrorism, but it did have a terrible outcome.

I think you are mixing up events, I think Robert KK means this Lorry event I presume anyway.

Who's celebrating this? I just see disgust at this attack. You have a vivid imagination though so fair play.

If it is a terrorist attack the German authorities will try cover it up. They have recent form at this.
What recent form is that ?

Why is it a shocking comment? There are clearly a few posters who are filled with glee whenever an Islamic inspired terrorist incident occurs. Can't wait to get the hysterics out. Read back on previous threads about similar incidents, it's always the same posters.

Your right. There are some people who are happy this happens, they are called Islamic extremists.

I can hear the champagne bottles popping by the usual suspects on here already. The same names with the same rhetoric every time.

    Who is happy?

We in Ireland share EU citizenship with the countries in Europe who are being targeted by terrorists/
There is a Christmas market thread on boards and people talking about going to Berlin for the Christmas markets.
People are sick of Europe being a target for terrorists and it was confirmed the mass migration of 2015 allowed in terrorists along with genuine migrants.
No one is happy to see people being killed, most of us want to visit places in Europe whether Germany, France or wherever and not have to think that there might be people who out of the blue want to kill us in a terrorist attack.
It is shocking what has happened to Europe in recent years - the amount of Islamic terrorist attacks has risen sharply, that is nothing to be happy about.

I must be reading a different thread then. No glee here but you do sound like you wish people where happy. Sad.

Berlin police now saying at least nine dead and more than 50 injured.
    Happy Christmas Germany

9 dead according to RTÉ. May they rest in peace.

I think knew this was coming as you could see security being ramped up at Christmas markets. We need to get used to this because it's not stopping anytime soon.

Merkel will be hurt by this and her hubris coming home to roost.

Germany is one of the most open countries to immigrants from Syria. Can some please explain to me why are these clowns (presuming its muslims) ar carrying out attacks their. Should Russia not be a greater target. You never hear of these incidents happening in Moscow for example

Up to very recently these Christmas markets had huge attraction for ppl to relax and enjoy. In the new Europe, they are potential massacre sites.

How many Americans are not grieving over the assassination of the Russian ambassador in Turkey? It was a horrendous act of terror and earlier in the week the politicians and the media over in America have been accusing Russia of hacking into America's election. Their not going to be crying over the loss of one Russian diplomat.

Why are things like this still surprising? Christmas needs to be censored, it's offensive!! Merkel is a disgrace. RIP to the victims.

When you go to a new country are to you not meant to try and integrate? Here's a muslim student refusing to shake the German Presidents hand last week.

Moscow and Russia has suffered from Islamic attacks in the past. It's appears they are dealing with the problem a bit differently.

Could have been a lot worse given the size of the vehicle, when you consider the toll in Nice.

Wouldn't bother reacting to anything right now. There was talk of multiple shooters roaming around Nice after that attack.

Give it an hour or two, we'll have less hysterical information.

I guess because there's so many of them there, it's more likely to happen. They probably don't differentiate much between Westerners, much the same way I don't differentiate much between Middle Easterners. Then again if I was going to murder a load of them, I'd probably get my facts straight first. This is absolute idiocy, and with the number of young men they let into Europe who are now probably feeling really isolated and lost in a foreign country, they are probably more likely to latch onto ridiculous murderous causes like this.

If she had any sense, she'd announce after Christmas that she is not standing for re-election.

I guess in Russia post Beslan if you are spouting jihadi nonsense then suddenly you disappear and don't come back.

Christmas Markets have been overly policed this year. You would want to be blind not to see the cops walking around in plain clothes with sniffer dogs. You could read only last week that a 12 year old was caught for the second time in a number of weeks with a jar/nail bomb which he planned to place at a Xmas market in Ludwigshafen after contact with known IS supporters....suspect Merkel isnt telling us an eight of whats going on.

Anyways....local German press reporting at least 9 dead, over 50 injured and claims being made the lorry driver is armed (supposed to have fired a shot whilst leaving the scene) and on the run.

if this does turn out to be what everybody expects it to be, then this has got to be the end of Merkel, no way she can recover from this.

awful news and may those fatally wounded rest in peace :(

All the posters as usual saying "oh, hold on, hold on, it may not have been a muslim this time; don't be so quick to judge, you wacist ".

Well folks it was hardly a lad by the name of Paddy Murphy ploughing his Coke truck through the people whilst blaring out "Holidays are coming
    Holidays are coming....".
