Very serious situation brewing here sadly.:(

    Mod:

I've handed out several bans and cards now. I haven't got them all (because I'm not going to sit here and read 300 posts).

I understand that it's an emotional topic but personal abuse and hate speech won't be tolerated. No more warnings.

It would take a very insane human being to think doing that was a good idea.

Very sad. Was only a matter of time i suppose given the situation. I hope the it's not as bad as reported on social media.

And Merkel wants to stand again. She's an utterly wreckless fool.

Coincidently authorities were warning of Christmas attacks across the EU a few weeks back.

They do it every single day in the middle east. It's going to become more and more common in Europe that's the reality now im afraid the world is full of insane people.

Eyewitness on CNN now saying it seemed very deliberate, the truck was going at a significant speed and made no effort avoid hitting the market. Multiple stalls and people mowed down.

One dead, several injured according to German media. (Der Spiegel and Berliner Morgenpost)

This is just horrific, and we are sick of these evil people who like killing and injuring people for their deluded ideas.
I was in close to Germany over the past couple of weeks, did consider going to Berlin for a few days, but visited the Christmas markets in Basel instead.

I hope this is not terrorism, but too many terrorists were allowed into Europe and the fact is there is a clash of culture and ideals between Europe and the Middle East which has existed for centuries.

I am not anti-immigrant, but I am anti- allowing people in whose culture is not ours and who do not want to integrate into our societies.
Europe needs to get very tough on immigration from the Middle East and North Africa.
We imported this problem into Europe.

This driver is probably just mentally ill, bless him, like those previous cases in Germany and Sweden earlier in the year.
Nothing at all to do with terrorism.

Do we have confirmation it was actually a terrorist though? Not overly up to date on it so please no "leftist cuck" carry on, just curious if we actually know for a fact it was a Muslim migrant like you are saying.

It seems you would have to go out of your way to drive a truck at 40mph through the Christmas market in Berlin.

I don't know, but going on past incidents, it looks highly likely to be Islamic terrorism.

That's a wee square between two of the busiest roads in Berlin with a dog leg bend on both, very easy for a driver that took ill to end up in there.

I could be wrong but this one might be a genuine accident. Lots of hi viz jacket ordinary emergency crew milling about, but no black clad boys on any videos I've seen, no real urgency, lots of ordinary police all the same...

    Let's wait and see...

That's not answering my question now is it. How does your point then equal Muslim migrant also? Plenty of people could do this kind of thing. Tragedies also do happen anything could have happened inside the cabin. See how many different possibilities there are? That's why I'm asking, do we know for a FACT that it was a Muslim migrant who came in recently? Because that's what so many posters here seem to think so surely there's now a press release or something to confirm that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43 PoorAuldDivil

If (when) this attack is confirmed to be in the name of Islam, you'll have the usual talking heads here derailing and mocking, blaming the West and people who dare suggest an inherent issue with Muslims.

Hopefully something like the Glasgow incident where a truck plowed through people - which was not terrorism, but it did have a terrible outcome.

If it is a terrorist attack the German authorities will try cover it up. They have recent form at this.

    Ah calm your tits.

You know well enough why that possibility is being touted.

No one here knows for a FACT what has happened yet but it is slightly similar to the Nice incident.

Could well be benign driver error or an accident. Could well be an isolated terror incident.

Could be a lot of things.

Why dont YOU wait along with the rest of us before demanding posters back up their posts.

Jesus christ the defenders of islamic terrorism are out in force already. Look these animals have a track record of these attacks it's not rocket science is it. If it turns out to be an accident and let's hope it is then all the better but it's not like people are jumping to conclusions is it.

Because other posters aren't waiting? Have you read the thread? I'm calling people out for always speculating the motives and background of someone involved in any event which may or may not be a terrorist attack.

Why don't people here grow some balls and ask these kinds of people to show sources for their speculation?

Christmas Market, multiple deaths over 50 injured.
Police treating it as a terrorist attack, feck it. I'm saying it's a terrorist attack

Maybe because there is a precedent for this type of thing happening in Europe over the last couple of years?

Previous trends don't give permission to deem it a Muslim migrant instantaneously. Read the second post on this thread as the perfect example of what I'm talking about.

Again that's just speculation, sure say it's a suspected terrorist attack, I'm down with that. But to call it one categorically is just factually wrong right now.
