Hi folks, I'm looking for a little insight, advice, experience etc.

We are thinking of doing something with the brick on the house. Ive always preferred an older looking house, but our current pad is very new-build looking. I've been hovering around the idea of giving the brick work an older or more weathered appearance with a wash.

Online searches tell me achieving this is possible, but they are mostly American sites, and I've never heard of anyone doing it here. Has anyone had this done? Is it a nightmare of a job to do yourself or would you get someone in to get the look right? Would it need any maintenance?

Would be glad of a little help on this one. Thanks :)
