Orange cog with a yellow exclamation mark 2010 Mazda3

Went to start my car this morn and pulled out of driveway when I noticed this warning light on my dash. The car has lost power because of this so I turned around and pulled back into driveway. From reading manual, it says that it's a drive train issue which isn't much help as that could be anything. The light itself is a solid yellow cog or gear with an exclamation mark inside it. Is there anything I can do apart from go to dealer?
Car is a 2010 mazda 3 1.6d with 110k km on clock.
Any help would be appreciated :-)

The onboard computer needs to be scanned for error codes.
Any local mechanic should be able to do this (ring first and check).

What part of the country are you in? If you're in limerick I could plug it in for you.

If its anything like the focus which i think it is more than likely its a glow plug fault but you would need to read faults.

Would the car not b running different if something wrong with plug, it sounded fine just restricted power

had to bring it to mazda, they said that one of the glow plugs needs changing and thats what causing the DPF to clog up, will cost €150 to replace them, that see ok?
