I'm still getting nothing but 5km eggs.

Got a few 2kms alright (5-6) but yeah, was well sick of the 5km egg by the time I hit the last pokestop

In what feels like forever (when really, it's just been 4 days), I've "finally" caught a Gen. 2 baby!!

Say hello to my beautiful baby... Smoochum!! :D

Haven't been playing that much recently but decided to try and get festive pikachu in Dublin City centre.

Managed to get 6 new mon:
    Igglybuff (egg)
    Charizard (egg)
    Festive pilachu x 3
    Geodude
    Tentacool
    Kabuto

And of course a Jynx from a 10 km egg.

    Pretty good day.

Three drowzee in a row from 5k :-(

You would think they had some sort of filter in place....so that the eggs would hatch pokemon that were somewhat different to the common types of the area/country that they are picked up in. Whats the point walking 5km to hatch a Drowzee when you probably walked past 10 in that time?

Hatched 2 more Pichus today, wish he'd feck off and give me a Togepi instead! My two 10km eggs were Scyther and Chansey....at least no Pinsir! Loads of other rubbish today. Highlight hatched today was a Charmander, so I'm now within 54km of completing the gen 1 (regional) dex.

Hatched a Magby and a second Pichu for my daughter. We're all out of 10km eggs now, so no Smoochum for me :p

How much are you spending on incubators and how many kms a day do you walk?!

Me? I had almost 1000 coins saved up from gyms as I hadn't bought incubators in a while. I also use my Three topup credit to buy coins (I top up with €20 a month and have free internet, etc, so the €20 mostly gets used on apps, music, etc). I'm down to under 300 coins now, so when the current batch of incubators are used, I'm down to the infinity and one at a time until I top up the phone again!

As for walking, it varies depending on work times, etc. This week I've walked 49km (since Monday). Average (according to the phone) is about 37-40km a week over the 7 days.

Picked up a 10km egg on the way home thank god. Unreal the amount of 5km eggs the pokestops spat out today.
Did over 20km today, sore feet now :)

How do you use the credit HDL? I have €100 worth of Three credit I can't use.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,083 ✭✭✭rustledjimmies

Three credit can be used for a lot more than PoGo in-app purchases...

Would you revolve a 871 Chameleon (with flame burst and scratch if that makes any difference)? Trying to decide if I should wait and evolve our 605 charmander first and get the extra 35 candies. Rathfarnham park is a charmander nest.

Thanks. I have an iPhone though so that might not work which is a pity as would be really handy.

Well if you've discovered a Charmander nest then go hunting, get candies and evolve the best one you find.

So stick your SIM in an Android and sign up for a Gmail account if you don't already have one. It's worth €100 to ya...

Ok, need to investigate this further alright. Must be some way to make it work. Thanks for heads up. Hate them having my credit. Even if I spend it on rubbish at least it isn't just sitting there!

Definitely find a way to stick your sim in another phone to set it up. It's totally worth it, because the feckers will drain your €100 at the first opportunity! I used to be on an iPhone, and I put the sim in someone's phone to set it up ages ago. Once it's set up, you can still use it on the iPhone. Back when PoGo came out first I used to regularly have €70-80 in the account. Now I have to wait til top-up day, and I put €10 into my PoGo account and €10 into my daughter's.

    If I had a 605 Charmander I'd evolve him. Best I have is 465 :(

My local park has gotten some brilliant nests in the past few migrations. First was Doduo, then Tentacool and now it's Omanyte!

Caught a Jynx today with a CP of 1,519. I normally don't bother with Jynx but I had never seen a wild Pokémon with such a high CP before so couldn't leave her behind! Took quite a few Razz berries and Ultra balls but got her in the end. ^_^

As you level up you'll encounter higher and higher CP 'mons. Jynx got buffed recently too so her potential shot up.

Is a magmar worth powering up? Just caught a 1400cp one with pretty much it's best moveset and ivs of 97%

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,331 ✭✭✭AMGer

Picked up four more 10km eggs between last night and this morning, first one was Dratini, but the second hatched this little fella :)

Also, spawns definitely increased. Caught three Bulbasaur in the space of an hour (usually catch one a month!), two Scythers and a Snorlax

I caught a 2017cp Jynx a while ago, with both ice moves, brilliant dragon counter, She's actually very strong, well worth using if you have a strong one

First 10k egg in months and it was an omanyte which is just perfect for us as still needing to evolve one. We also got a growlithe from a 5k egg (and 21 candies) -'d all the kabutos anyone could need in town so doing well all of a sudden! So wish they'd let us know if there is a Christmas event or not as finger is itching for another lucky egg run.

I have a few days away from the family.
Is there a Pokemon mekka anywhere in Dublin?
Like what is the best place at the moment where I could hope to luck out on a Lapras, get a few Dratinis?

I got 6 omanytes at the fairview Park nest, then got four dratini along the Clontarf Road in the space of an hour today.
