Removing small scratches from a white steel bath

Had the tradesmen in working in the bathroom this week and (inevitably) there's surrounding damage, including a few small scratches to the white steel bath.

Running my hands over it I don't feel any dents, just the telltale silver lines of scratches.

So, assuming the scratches are only on the surface what's the best way to remove them (or hide them)? Wax or something like that? Barkeeper's Friend?

From what you say, it sounds like this is residue from something else thats on the bath rather scored into the enamel.
You'll need to figure out what it is first as enamel is quite easy to discolour or blur the shine.
Seems like it may be something metallic was dragged on it. Enquire in your local bathroom showroom.

What tradesmen and what were they doing? If they were replacing a power shower or electric shower it's most likely carbon from the old shower. Jif or cif cleaner will clean it right up
