"Dad of two found with loaded bazooka"

I am referring to a similar styled headling in today's edition.
I have seen this a few times in the Indo; why is it dad, rather than man?

There are very few actual journalists left in Indo Towers... the digital section is populated mainly by early-20s 'Here's the Top 10 Pizza toppings of 2016' types... keep your expectancy levels low when you log on.
