So on my way to game soon bro in town who is a Rams fan. My shouts for today:

    - Got to close out Rams offense early as we have a habit of making rookie QBs look like HOF QBs at times. I feel if we don't this game will go to 4th Quarter win. Close them out and control the game.

    - Easley to come back to Gillette and continue his good form this season and sack Brady at least once.

    - Pats to win and as I said it will depend on how early we close out the Rams if we can manage that at all.

I can see it being another 4th game.
I don't expect much pass rush, so secondary worries as the QB should have time.
They could cause us OL problems, depends on how Tom's knee is to deal with that pressure.
Pats to win, and hopefully no further injuries.

    Enjoy the game TO.

Well, that was actually over very early!
Rams were awful, how does Fisher get two more years??
Some really good blitz plays called, and got pressure with four as well. Goff held the ball too long at times, but credit to the defense (just 3pts conceded until the very death).
Hopefully no bad injuries before next week.

Ravens tonight. Promises to be a difficult opponent and a tough game. Chance to take the lead in the AFC for us and for the Ravens to tie with the Steelers in their division.
Won't be able to watch the game live. So gonna wake up and have a great day, or a very long day.......

Ravens have a solid pass defense and a solid run defense so we need to establish the run early or it will be a long night.

No fumble and recovery because of forward progress...since when has forward progress been called on a sack before?

So whenever you tackle a player and he goes backwards, the fumble can't happen because of forward progress? What a joke?

    Cost the Pats 3 points

First time I've ever seen that called. Never, ever heard of forward progress on a sack.

Why do they keep putting Cyrus Jones back for punt returns.

Because they're sadists and like to inflict unnecessary pain on themselves.

Oh there is the defense that has been sh1t most of the season. Good to see they turned up.

This is pathetic. Absolutely disgusting performance in the 2nd half.

Maybe it's because I was watching it knowing the result, but that was a really good performance.
I rated the Ravens coming into the game, and the only reason this was close to competitive was the two special team fails that resulted in 14pts and Brady's redzone INT.
Not to say the Pats were perfect apart from those mistakes, but we controlled the vast majority of the game. The D looked like they could have shutout the Ravens from the endzone only for special teams screwing up, and the offense put up 30pts and will feel they should have had more (redzone INT).
Good win before heading to Denver.

    Masochists?

Caught highlights of the big plays earlier. Must try dig up full game. Interesting few games now to secure home-field advantage.

Permutations for Denver vs Kansas vs Oakland over the next few weeks will be a lot of fun!

We've ran out of superlatives to use when it comes to Brady and last night the GOAT was just brilliant when it mattered most. And in Hogan, he seems to have a player that gives him a long overdue deep threat. Speaking of which, against the Ravens D the league other QB's have averaged a 35% success rate on deep balls. Last night, Brady was 8 of 10 or 80% successful on his deep passes against the leagues top D right now. Too me his arm and his mechanics are better than ever and watching his rage on the sideline is amazing, especially when you consider this is coming from a 39 year old QB who has done everything in the game and is hungrier than ever.

Another GOAT to mention is Scar, I don't know how he does it but it's great to have a run game back again. Last year Canon was beyond dire and we couldn't run a tap never mind a ball. This year we have Blount showing what he can do thanks in no small part to how Scar has transformed the O line. Mason was just beastly in run blocking last night and while we may not have the Dallas O line, ours are nothing like the rubbish they were last year. All this has Blount showing us what he can do and long may he still healthy for the rest of the season. He's having a great year and deserves all his salary incentives. I'm not sure what's going on with Edelman, but right now, he needs to stop dropping the ball more than he's catching it.

The defense were having an excellent game up until the ST's screw up on punts and then the jitters seemed to set into the whole team. But they did their job when it mattered and restricted the Ravens to FG's when we needed them to. Van Noy and McClellin have turned into excellent additions to the defense and McClellin's FG block was just a phenomenal play. And Cyrus Jones? The guy's a walking disaster and didn't do much in the secondary either. I'd prefer to see Branch doing punt returns in the future than letting Jones anywhere near it. Now were on to Mile High and the one venue where we don't do well in. The nice thing though is the Broncos have 5 losses under their belt so we won't be going to Mile High for the playoffs.

Other than the 2x Special Teams f'ups it was an utterly dominant performance with no major injuries* so I'm super pleased with the result.

*Malcolm Butler was apparently limping in the locker room after the game so hopefully that's only minor

Said it at the beginning of the season, I was excited to see how White would do this year and happy to say he has been living up to expectations thus far.

And about time too, because as a 3rd year veteran we needed him to step up.

White certainly has picked up his game. At the start of the season I thought he wasn't up to it but week by week this season he has got better and better.

The three headed monster of Blount, Lewis and White might be the best RB combination in football.

Given the issues with Jones' kickoff returns, I wonder if Dan Connolly has some free time to step in as a replacement :P

So happy with this move. He's a very talented receiver

Devin Hester brought in for a workout also with our return issues this could be a good move also if we sign him

Edit scratch that seems like he is a fumble machine these days also. If he could offer his abilities of days gone then yes but if not then nope.

Reading about his recent play it sounds like he's done unfortunately. Hope he retires a Bear and goes to Canton asap. But it seems the magic is gone.

I think Hester could get back his mojo, but he needs to be a dedicated return man like he used to be in the early days.
Trying to get more out of him has ruined his SP production.

Flyod is an interesting pickup, but I have doubts he will deliver any value.
Vet Receivers tend to have problems integrating with our offence, especially guys without a preseason of workouts...

    How much is Floyd costing?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,012 ✭✭✭BizzyC

Havent seen anyone else post it, so here it is.

Malcolm Butler knows how to handle Steve Smith in the redzone.

Took a while to see it myself, you see it better in the second clip. See number 89 Baltimore, getting manhandled right of picture.
