Anyone else have trouble connecting to the internet on Virgin Media at the moment?

I was able to rectify the issue by changing my DNS server to Google's - 8.8.8.8.

Cannot connect without doing it so I assume their DNS server is down.

I'm in the Cork area of that makes any difference.

1700 comments on Facebook so national/regional.

Hot failovers are obviously very difficult.

Seems to have been down from before 9:45pm until around mid-night although some people are reporting problems and they are suggesting rebooting PC/modem

I too noticed the issue and the website was overloaded and their 1908 service was ringing out. You would think they could have put a basic message on the website & phone service.
